Redmayne is in my good graces, but Cohen isn’t right now. I’ve no idea what to think.

I love Chicago, but I haven't seen the other 5 sequels, so I'll most likely skip this.

I know everyone's pissed about Redmayne, but is anyone even a tiny bit curious what he might do with an actual competent filmmaker behind him? I'm not ready to write Redmayne off until he's worked with legit talent.

I'm not ready to write Redmayne off until he's worked with legit talent. And I don't see what people have against him anyway. He hasn't proven himself, true, but it's not like he's been outright bad. Well, there was Jupiter Ascending, but I think that was intentional on his part.

Oh no, now I have to go see this. I was just going to try to ignore it. Oh well maybe Keaton will get another chance to win between this and King of the Jungle. Of course, I thought that he'd be an easy afterglow nomination/win for Spotlight after Birdman, and then there was the few months that I thought that The Founder was going to be TWC's #1 and that he'd find Oscar glory with that.

Nice to see JGL back in films. I missed the guy! This could be pretty damn good.

Honestly, I'm not that excited about that cast. And is Sorkin the right guy to make it cinematic, with all those courtroom scenes that are probably in it? (Haven't seen Molly's Game yet)
Other than that, I like the idea of Keaton getting another meaty part and possible Oscar glory (in a movie co-starring Redmayne).

Totally robbed for Birdman, imo. I also thought he would be nominated for Spotlight but that never happened... I think he's a really versatile actor and deserved to win an Oscar. Unfortunately, he kind of "dissapeared" for about 15 years before Birdman (since Jackie Brown) with the exception of his two great TV works (the Company and Live from Baghdad). He could have done so much more but it's never too late. Really glad he's returned for a Tim Burton film (even if it's Dumbo...).

I hope JGL has a good role. He's way better than Redmayne, who I assume plays a major part.

Yay!!! I don't even know if he's got a good role or not, lol. Watch Redmayne get all the glory for it. Still maybe this will help him with What Is Life Worth, hoping that will be good, and King of the Jungle if it actually gets made with Keaton as the lead. ETA: At the very least maybe he can win another SAG Ensemble Award. This movie does already feel like an early favorite for that. Good release date. Paramount hasn't really been in the game lately, but they're strategy of focusing on just one main film the past few years seems to be doing okay. A Quiet Place had a nice guild run, and Rocketman looks to have the same.
