Because there’s more games than RDR and TOS, y’know.
I’ve been on a bit of a binge with these games lately, and they are still so good (well, most of them). As for my favorite, it’s always been a toss up between Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess.
I’m feeling Wind Waker today. (Edit: heh)

Granted I haven't played any since Majora's Mask, but I still think Ocarina of Time is one of the greatest games of all time.
... and it annoys the shit out of me to see people beat in in ridiculously fast times. It took me months the first time I ever did it... and I had the guide!

I'm going with Wind Waker. It's the most absorbing experience of them all. I'd spend hours just sailing around the world, watching the sharks swim with me. The rich man/poor man sidequest is also one of my favorite video game stories ever.

And nowadays, Ocarina’s pretty easy for me to run through without a guide book, except for the water temple. Every time I try to play it independently, I feel like rage quitting because of how frustrating it is. The only real black mark on an otherwise perfect game.

So a replay of Twilight Princess made me realize... yeah, THAT’S my favorite Zelda game.
Pretty much the perfect distillation of everything I love about the series. Great sword battles, fulfilling side quests, phenomenal dungeon designs, and an engaging story with strong personal and greater stakes.
But more importantly, as great as the other games may be... they don’t have Midna.
