Did i see Professor X and Captain Marvel in there? Captain Marvel is likely a Rambeau variant. Definitely not Carol Danvers, that's for sure.

visually it's just so exhausting. CGI diarrhea everywhere. And that effect of Cumberbatch's face separating into cubes was extremely viscerally upsetting

I asked this somewhere else when the Marvel was making their announcements, but no one replied I think because there was too much other stuff going on. I don't know much about comic books, but I remember reading rumors about Spider-Man 2 and the multi-verse and maybe that's how Disney would bring in the X-Men. So I wonder if they'll try it here like with the X-Men or maybe Deadpool. Yay or nay? I don’t think they’re gonna do it, and I don’t think anyone wants them to. They need to cleanse the X-Men and start from scratch. This aged fucking poorly It’s amazing how in two years, things we could only dream of are becoming a reality.

Well it looks like any hope I had for this just because Sam raimi was directing was very very misguided

This apparently features a lot of horror elements and I keep reading that this is darker and more violent than any other MCU movie: jump scares, body horror, and "a smattering of diabolical kills" as one person put it. Of course, I'm expecting all of this to still be constrained by the confines of the MCU house style, but I'm glad to see that at least some of Raimi's sensibility is peeking through. Also seeing a ton of praise for Elizabeth Olsen's performance - Mick LaSalle's review says it "will go down as one of the finest performances of the year" and "It’s easily the best acting in a superhero movie since Heath Ledger’s in 2008’s “The Dark Knight.” Color me intrigued.

Yeah I'm just happy to see people saying it's a Sam Raimi movie, all things considered
