I asked this somewhere else when the Marvel was making their announcements, but no one replied I think because there was too much other stuff going on. I don't know much about comic books, but I remember reading rumors about Spider-Man 2 and the multi-verse and maybe that's how Disney would bring in the X-Men. So I wonder if they'll try it here like with the X-Men or maybe Deadpool. Yay or nay?

I don’t think they’re about to have Tobey Maguire and Hugh Jackman show up. By multi-verse they probably just mean alternate dimensions from the comics like Mephisto’s realm or the Negative Zone.

They need to cleanse the X-Men and start from scratch. Its funny, though, that Deadpool’s gonna keep going on, given the explicit references it makes to the old timeline. Especially because it’s time travel and Endgame’s work on completely different rules. It’d be funny if they acknowledge that with how much DP fucks up the timeline.

I can see a totally meta joke where he's just staring at a collection of story boards from the different movies with a quizzical look and a snappy one-liner.

Am I the only one getting H.P. Lovecraft vibes from the title? McKellen and Stewart seem to be over it, especially after Logan. And I can't see Lawrence, Fassbender, Hoult and McAvoy wanting to go back to their roles after Dark Phoenix. Maybe the New Mutants guys will show up?

Sounds like a H.P. Lovecraft title. Derrickson also said it will be scary. Also Wanda is in it.

Zero percent chance they would cast anyone one from any of the previous X-Men films in an X-Men role.

Jackman should come back as Kraven or something, just to give nerds a headache.

I mean, the first movie was pretty bad, so they're bound to upgrade unless the hire J.J. Abrams or something.

I was so excited for a scary Doctor Strange film and now this happens. They're probably gonna replace him with someone like Ron Howard.

not convinced a Dr. Strange movie was ever going to be good but now that's guaranteed.

I doubt this has a real major effect on the quality of the movie, my guess is that this is related to the WandaVision series which was pushed up and is supposed to have direct ties to this movie. Either the forced production timeline became an issue for Derrickson or it was around a forced plot element.

Movie studio gonna movie studio. Directors leaving projects over “creative differences” is pretty common across the board.
