Would've loved to see Eliza Scanlen get at least one nomination for turning out to be the true highlight of Sharp Objects. Oh well

Awful a pitty that Samantha Morton for the Walking Dead or Keeley Hawes from Bodyguard didn't replaced a couple of GOT nominations. Seriously Headey and Christie?
Also Madden should be nominated instead of Harington.

The Iron Throne episode got directing nod There's nothing really wrong with the directing of the episode, it's the writing that's the problem. In fact that shot of Dany and the dragon wings was pretty damn good.

I'm seeing a lot of shit on Harrington being nominated, but I'm currently re-watching the finale, and he does a damn good job. From his hesitance of executing Lannister men to his big scene, I think he's not unworthy of it. Of the GOT crowd that I think aren't worthy, he's not among them. Allen and Williams are certainly among them (this season absolutely).

If I was ranking the cast noms from most to least deserving, I'd roughly say: Emilia Clarke Sophie Turner Gwendoline Christie Peter Dinklage Kit Harington Nikolaj Coster-Waldau Maisie Williams Lena Headey Alfie Allen Really, I'd only consider nominating Clarke and Turner personally. Of course, several of these feel like overdue noms for seasons past, and I'm definitely happy Allen and Christie finally got their due, though the former did basically nothing this season. In specific regards to Harington, I too think he did his best with what he got, and continues to prove himself a much-improved actor from when the show started.

Only Dinklage deserved to be there, and maybe Harrington.
