Sweet mother of Jesus, not filming for another year plus? Mann should have another smaller scale movie in the can before then. Doesn't he know how old he is? Jackman is a decent choice, about the same as Bale for this. I wish Depp and Mann got along better on the set of Public Enemies.  |

I'm pretty sure they were somewhat close to filming with Bale before he dropped out, so the script has to be ready by now. Whoever's financing this will probably change their mind by summer of 2018!!! Haven't seen Logan yet. Want to watch The Wolverine first...... also John Wick 2 and Get Out are higher priorities at the moment. I'm behind! |

Hugh Jackman would be decent and if the role gives him enough notes to play (which it probably will) it could be a strong awards contender in its time... something like... 2020 awards season! I really rue Bale for dropping this though. Wish his physique was more matching!

Maybe he is, but he doesn't seem interested in doing smaller budgeted films, though. His movies budget as of late are often seen as being unnecessarily huge. |
