I'm seriously curious if it was held now who would get in because they usually have a serious Spanish bias but all those teams really flopped this year big time, even Barcelona.

Even if Barcelona flopped (still won the liga), Messi would easily make it and it would be 100% deserved, he's been seriously amazing, almost carrying Barcelona (offensive plays) on his own this season, he got great defensive help from Ter Stegen who is arguably top 5 goalkeeper. Alba has been great too. None of the Real Madrid players deserves to be anywhere near the list tho.
Goalkeeper, maybe Alisson, he won the CL after all and had so many clean cheat in premier league. Without any bias, Hugo Lloris should arguably be near the team, continuing on the momentum of his great world cup (with some important, fantastic saves) and went to the Champion's league final. Oblak is amazing but the lack of trophees plays against him.
Defenders, Virgil van Dijk is a no brainer, De Ligt showed insane things for his age, Alexander-Arnold, amazing on the right back (Joao Cancelo and Kimmich too). Left back...Alba ? CL's winner Robertson ?
Midfielders, Bernardo Silva impressive, Frenkie de Jong (see De Ligt), Eden Hazard, no CL this year (but won the Europa League, MVP of the final) and Chelsea finished way too far behind the top 2 but I just love him, time to go in a better club (same for Kante, Sarri isn't using him the way he should..), Van de Beek, etc...
Messi (best of the year) and the ever underrated Sadio Mane for the front. HM to Tadic, the year of his life, Mbappe, dissapointing againt MU but still second best stricker in Europe behind Messi this year at 20 years old, Aguero, Cristiano Ronaldo (close to be there), Raheem Sterling, Guardiola really knows how to use him, etc...

I still get this sinking feeling that they're gonna be lazy and pick that cunt Ramos at centre back. Midfield is absolutely the toughest to pick. The Barca midfield hasn't exactly been great, Pjanic maybe for Juve, Ziyech possibly, Bernardo Silva should be there.

That actually sums it up pretty good. Alisson surely is the best goalkeeper over the course of the whole season. With ter Stegen (surprisingly for me) second best. Been huge on Lloris since years (is Top 5 for me since nearly 10 years), but as amazing he is on the line (best there along with De Gea), he just has too many headscratchers to be top 3.
Van Dijk is the best in the world right now after Varane was so disappointing this season. De Ligt or Gimenez probably next to him this season. Also Pique had for the first time in like 5 years a very strong campaign. Alexander-Arnold is the best right back right now I'd say. For left? After Marcelo's down year you obviously still have Alba, but he leaves too many holes on his side. You could go for Liverpool again with Robertson, I'd take Alex Sandro from Juventus over him though.
Midfield usually was so tough to choose for most of the last 25 years, because there is sooo much to choose from and mostly one or two players were soo good they occupied two fix spots anyways (like Zidane and Vieira or Xavi and Iniesta), but this year it's the other way. It's so tough to choose, because many players like Casemiro, Kante or Modric were disappointing and the whole level dipped a lot.
I'd certainly pick Pjanic for the team and you could argue both Silvas for Manchester City. You could include Hazard here, but I would pick him for the forwards, otherwise the team would be way too aggressive. I know such Best-of-teams are not supposed to work in reality, but still it bothers me often. Rakitic could be another choice in the midfield.
Messi as you say is still easily the best player in the world. He was much better than last season and prooved his class again and again. Then as said before I'd put Hazard on the left side.
The last spot in the centre? Well Messi prevents Mbappe, except if you move Messi to the middle. For the middle spot I'll take Griezmann, who basically had to carry Atleticos offense all by his self and helped them to the second place in the league once again.
