How are your teams doing at World Cup qualifications? These new rules are quite hard, only the first in each group is passing to the final phase. The best seconds will have to play further games to get a chance. After 6 games out of 10, Switzerland is first in their group. Italy will play 6the game this Sunday, it's tied with Spain by now. :/

Australia is 3rd in their group right now. 1st or 2nd will get them straight through to the World Cup. If they stay 3rd they will have to win a couple of extra games.

So, Italy won but so did Spain and we still have the same points but with a worse goal difference. A victory in Spain in September is almost mandatory at this point.

Leigh Griifths will never score two free kicks like that in succession ever again for the rest of his career. Jammy sod.

Here we talk about the greatest game known to man 😎 So whose your all time favorite player? I love Ronaldinho, yeah I like Brazilian players. Oh I have too many to narrow it down to one. Ronaldinho was a joy to watch and definitely among my favourites. Others I would include are, in no order; Thierry Henry Dennis Bergkamp Zinedine Zidane Fat Ronaldo (If injuries didn't hamper him, this guy would have been the greatest striker of all time. I still consider him easily one the best tbh) Lionel Messi Gennaro Gattuso Alessandro Nesta Figo Rivaldo Paul Scholes Robert Pires Carles Puyol Xavi Iniesta Steven Gerrard Ruud van Nistelrooy Luigi Buffon Cristiano Ronaldo Patrick Vieira Ryan Giggs Paulo Maldini Andrea Pirlo Oliver Kahn Cafu Pavel Nedved Theres so many more I could list honestly, but these fellas have been a true privilege to watch.

Fuck yeah, awesome. Do you think Lacazette is the man Arsenal needs? and you think we can keep Alexis? When will we get a proper defensive-midfielder? So many questions, every single goddamn year

Fuck yeah, awesome. Do you think Lacazette is the man Arsenal needs? and you think we can keep Alexis? When will we get a proper defensive-midfielder? So many questions, every single goddamn year Haha, where do I start? It's taken almost 5 years but it seems that we're finally about to get a prolific scorer we've been crying out for ages. This guy has always popped up in our transfer targets for the last few seasons, only to be rebuffed by Lyon or simply not coughing up the right fee. Thank Christ for Atletico's transfer ban otherwise we would have missed out on him again since that was his preferred destination. Now to answer your first question, yes I do think Lacazette is the player we need. His goal record speaks for itself; he's a natural striker who's always in the right place at the right time. But his skill set doesn't just amount to putting the ball in the back of the net -- he's quick, strong and has good link up play. Surely with the creative talent we currently possess right now, he can only improve further. This will be a great signing and a real show of intent that we're going all out, as promised by Wenger and co.... Which brings us to Alexis...will he stay or will he move on to pastures new? Reports from a couple normally reliable Chilean sources say that he's staying put, at least for another year. Of course, a player like Sanchez with such intense winning mentality won't be happy at not playing Champions League Football next season, but he also appreciates the tradition and history of the club. If he didn't, he would have never come here in the first place. Maybe Wenger has persuaded him with reassurances for the next couple seasons which has given him a reason to give one more crack at winning us a league title. We need him to stay, those days of signing one great player just to go sell another one of our top assets should be long gone now that our stadium has been paid off. Money isn't an issue, we're absolutely stacked in the piggy bank. Build on what we already have because we really aren't far off, but like you said, how many times have we been saying that? lol. Sanchez is world class, not just for his skill and goals but he's one of the hardest working players I've ever seen and that rubs off on the rest of the squad, which is why it's imperative we keep hold of him. The DM position is such a tricky one. There's been so many opportunities to get a full on destroyer just sitting in front of that defence and I'm almost certain that if we did, we could have won the league in the past couple years. Coquelin has done well but a bit raw; Xhaka is not a true holding midfielder and has actually looked much more comfortable ever since we switched to the 3-4-3 formation at the back end of last season, as it gave him license to dictate play from a more central midfield role. I actually think Santi would revel in that role as well but injuries have plagued the poor lad. Ramsey is a true box-to-box player but prefers to make those late runs in the area rather than track back, which isn't a problem because he's very adept at it. But if there's no one occupying the space where teams can exploit us on the counter, then there will be a problem. We're linked with William Carvalho yet again, haha! He would be absolutely perfect.

Chivo, thanks for the insightful and complete answer. I agree with absolutely everything. Luckily for us, Atlético is facing that obstacle, because it definitely helped us to get Lacazette. Altough I appreciate what Giroud did for the club, I think it is time for him to say goodbye, unless he accepts to be a back-up striker. Lacazette is here to be a game-changing striker and I´m sure Wenger knows how to take the best out of him If Arsenal can keep Alexis, it would be the icing on the cake. I guess we would have to thank Wenger for that. I mean, Wenger, a man of football, is one of the main reasons players chose Arsenal. We need players like Alexis with that fucking winning mentality and pure determination to stay in the club, teams win titles with players like him. It feels strange not having Champions League football this next season, but at least with Europa League we have the possibility to rotate the squad and refresh our best players whenever needed, so that can be an advantage the other contenders would not have. I think the first and ultimate priority has to be the Premier League, we will think about Champions League football next season. Regarding the DM position. Coquelin is that very useful ´squad-player` we need. Depending on the formation, I would say that Xhaka is the perfect midfielder (CM) to balance the defensive and offensive midfield tasks. Ramsey needs more freedom to make those last runs you mentioned, because he is a killer. That´s why we need a player like William Carvalho. I´m portuguese (a portuguese Arsenal fan which I don´t think is common) so I know William very well. He can be lazy sometimes but he is fast as fuck if we wants. He is a great professional but I guess he is tired of playing for Sporting (because of their cunt president) - I would feel exactly the same thing if I was him - A technically advanced and physically strong DM, with great vision and ability to hold the ball is not that common nowadays, especially with this crazy market, William should be a top priority. And I know that Gelson Martins, a technically gifted player, is also linked, he could be great. Arsenal will need a fucking RB for Bellerín reasons, and a center-back, possibly another Left-back, but those are questions for another time.

Yea William Carvalho would be a good addition for you guys if you need a DM.
You could also get Pepe if you need another defender since he'll be leaving Real. Although I heard the likely landing spot is Besiktas.

Ohhhh it's so lovely to have another well informed and dedicated Gooner on here apart from me. Should be an interesting season that's for sure. Let's hope Lacazette is just the start of a couple more big money signings. Wenger seems very keen on Lemar, Mahrez and Mbappe. The latter would cost an arm and a leg but shit, it won't hurt trying and it would be worth it and then some. The kid is a fucking beast. No thank you, Pepe can say well clear of Arsenal.
