Here's yet another De Niro once in a film chock full of them - that's Jimmy Hayden he makes laugh there btw (mentioned in the died too young thread).

This was the first one I thought of. The scene where he calls Martin Donovan's wife is also quite powerful, especially since, if I remember correctly, we only see Pacino's side of the call.
