Shocking surprises? Like humans are on the menu... Yeah, that's hardly shocking anymore. If Wendy's can do it, we all can do it.

Love the cast so far...... My first thought was that this sounds like a Vincent Price esque role for Fiennes (who could forget Price's wine tasting contest vs Lorre, Fiennes would work in pacinoyes 's long in the works remake of Theatre of Blood too, hmm!). But that also this might not be a great fit for Payne.... after the wreck that was Downsizing he shouldn't mess with something this tonally tricky. He has two projects in development The Burial and The Judge's Will - both of which have roles for Pacino who's a fan of Payne. In the former, a perfect opportunity for Jeffrey Wright and Pacino to reteam..... but anyway, maybe they're up next for Payne?

Shocking surprises? Like humans are on the menu... Yes, if I hadn't read the first part and just the part about shocking surprises, I suppose it could be like The Freshman where it's endangered animals, but not really. It's definitely humans though going by the first part. Love the cast so far...... I love Fiennes and Stone, and it's great that they're going to be working together. However, I don't trust Payne with this type of material after Downsizing.

My first thought was that the clients were tricked and drugged be eating into some freak science experiment. But yeah, cannibalism is more likely. And cheers for Stone again working with a big name director!

Emma Stone in Alexander Payne's horror comedy? Sounds interesting.

Not gonna lie, the "Not cannibalism. Arguably stranger" comment piqued my interest. It does sound like something that would suit Yorgos's style more than Payne's, but I'm looking forward to it still, especially with that cast. I hated Downsizing, but I have no doubt Payne can back.

I’m excited. Payne has a lot to make up for after Downsizing.

I agree Yorgos's style seems much better suited for this than Payne's, and it would have been a reunion of him and Stone. I'm just glad that it's not cannibalism because that seemed so predictable. And now I really want to know what's stranger than that.

Alright I'm a little more than half way through this script and... it's basically The Lobster, but with beat-the-audience-to-death monologues and caricatures. Will report back with further news.
Page 66 Edit: It's just getting worse and worse. I know they'll call this satire, but satire doesn't excuse you from writing a shitty story.
Page 78 Edit: Yeah, the person who "read" the script in that post, didn't actually read the script... or they have a really bad memory.

Reddit post.It has the entirety of the Hit List 2018, apparently. Anywho, final thoughts on this: some of you with eat this up (tehe... a pun!), but I think it's utter crap. This is a spoiler, but I can almost assure you, what I'm including here will probably be included in its trailer: It isn't cannibalism, that's for sure... it's actually less original than that.

Sadly, that sounds like the next Best Original Screenplay winner.

Weird, weird script.Agree with people who say this is better suited to someone like Yorgos,I could see him maybe pulling this off ,but Alexander Payne?.....I don't know.

It also says nothing new, nothing in a new way, and worst of all... it attempts to be satire while being a shit story AND SPELLING LITERALLY EVERYTHING OUT FOR THE VIEWER. I mean, I shit on Get Out a lot, but at least that had some subtext.
