I remember when Malick was attached to this, so it makes sense that Lowery (whose films owe a great debt to early Malick) would be doing this. In any case, Dev Patel, Barry Keoghan and Ralph Ineson are being courted to star.

Could you post more details about the project? like what it is about?

Could you post more details about the project? like what it is about? Well, as the title suggests "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight" is part of the Artus tales. It's about a mysterious green knight who challenges the knights of the Round Table and it's Sir Gawain, who accepts it. He's allowed one hit at his opponent and with it he decapitates the Green Knight. But his opponent just grabs his head and before he leaves threatens he will come back one year later and then have his hit as well.
I remember one not so good film with Sean Connery as the Green Knight.

Great cast, waiting for my boy Keoghan to properly break out.

Cool. I'd like to see how Lowery does a film based on Mythology.

Dev... Patel?

Not the first person to come to mind for Arthurian myth... but I've always liked him. I think he could pull off a role, and he seems like he'd do well in a Lowery joint.

I like the poster design, hate the illegible font choice for the tagline.

Now that you've seen him as David Copperfield, how do you feel about him playing this role now?

I mean he was amazing in that movie, I was completely blown away by him, and it definitely made me look at the guy in a whole new light. Pessimist that I am I'm not entirely sure that just because he could do that he'll be able to do this, but I guess I'm definitely less down on the idea Regardless, in Lowery I trust. And that poster really is amazing. I guess especially because you have to stare at it for 5 minutes to figure out what it says on either side

Looks good.
Maybe I'm dumb, because I'm not familiar with the source material that much, but it looks like there's a horror slant to it which makes sense because that seems to be A24's bread and butter.

Looks way more esoteric and less straightforward than I thought it was gonna be. It's gonna be interesting. Is Vikander playing a witch?

Oh ffs A24 ... maybe it's just the marketing but they need to quit it with the brand homogeneity already that's basically just turning them into the indie MCU ... I was looking forward to this and still am, but this doesn't look like Lowery at all.

Reminds me of Vallhalla Rising, maybe a bit more horror-focused and less esoteric but still gritty and cool-looking as hell. I agree that it doesn't look like Lowery at all so color me that much more excited because I could do without a five-minute shot of Gawain mauling a mutton chop.

Is Vikander playing a witch? Some version of ‘Morgan le Fay’.
