She looks a hell of a lot like her in this photo will probably make Venice yeah but is this a silent movie? According to rumor, Marilyn doesn't speak a lot in the movie, and it's more about how other characters speak about her.

Anyone else here who absolutely loved Michelle Williams as Marilyn? She was so, so great. Michelle really captured Marilyn’s complexities, insecurities and vulnerability in such a seamless manner. A beautifully layered performance. ❤️

Adrien Brody on Blonde: "It's a remarkable film and Ana de Armas is just magnificent in the movie. I was awestruck by her interpretation, and at times I felt like I was acting with Marilyn Monroe."
I don't know about the awards prospects of this movie, and while de Armas seems lovely, I've yet to be particularly impressed by her. I'm interested in this, though, because she seems to be playing a challenging role with a really good director. I'm guessing this will go to Venice, so we could get concrete word about this relatively soon.

Noooooo. This was my most anticipated film of the year.
Is fucking everything getting pushed into 2022? Since yesterday we've had rumors that Canterbury Glass, The Whale, Being the Ricardos and now Blonde?!

If it got delayed twice, and neither for covid reasons since it’s Netflix, they must really not have confidence in this film.

Don't forget that it's gonna be one of the ten best films ever made. They're just giving us time to prepare!

Is it too artsy? Didn't the director say there's barely any dialogue?

Since yesterday we've had rumors that Canterbury Glass, The Whale, Being the Ricardos and now Blonde?! Two of those films weren't even slated for 2021. Well actually to be fair none of them technically were, but The Whale and Being the Ricardos were always assumed to be 2022 releases.

I don't think they are dumping it. Netflix's award season slate is already incredibly packed this year. They just want to make De Armas and this movie shine in a less crowded year.

This is the third time it’s been pushed and it’s Netflix, so it’s not like Covid was ever a factor. I think it’s kind of obvious that something isn’t quite right here.
