Any chance that Against All Enemies premieres here? Amazon picked up distribution rights in February, and France seems the ideal place to debut a Kristen Stewart/Jean Seberg film - American actresses who both found huge success there.

This might be a hot take, but I'm kinda hoping the Tarantino isn't ready in time and doesn't premiere at Cannes. It doesn't need the Cannes push, whereas these other films and filmmakers definitely do.
I'm gonna hold back on predictions based off of this bunch until we know who the jury is, but I'm getting the strangest feeling about an August Diehl Best Actor win.

Decided to make super early predictions based solely on what I think usually gets rewarded / what AGI usually goes for.

man I really can't wait for the new Sciamma. Her last two films have been straight-up masterpieces but she's going into relatively new territory with "Portrait of the Young Girl on Fire." Looking forward to seeing what she brings to a period setting.

Runtimes: A Hidden Life (3h) Should have been even longer! Good lord, more of Malick filming a plastic bag blowing in the wind? No thanks, a proper modern Malick should be around 15 minutes.

Or hell, David "discount Malick" Lowery? A different matter entirely.

But Malick hasn't done "good" since The Thin Red Line, and I'm leery about this, is all.

Talking about great films, yes I agree there is nothing since TTRL.

Forgot what A Hidden Life even was for a minute there. The original title was way better.

If Malick calls The New World script based, there's no hope for him. I mean, it is, especially compared to his latter-day output. There is a narrative that is pretty easy to follow in it.

Any guesses as to who might join AGI on the official selection jury? When do you think the announcement will be released?

Any guesses as to who might join AGI on the official selection jury? When do you think the announcement will be released? It's the first time in seven years that Marion Cotillard isn't in a film in competition, so I'd say she's a possibility. Definitely fits the mold of a Cannes juror.
