Yeah, even though I was a fan of the Beach Boys when I was 14, I probably wouldn’t have picked God Only Knows as my favorite song at that point. I was pretty obsessed with Metallica at the time, so it most likely would’ve been something by them (up through the Black album). Right now, picking a favorite song released during my lifetime is kind of tough since most of the pop music I love is from before I was born. Today, I’ll go with Guns N' Roses’ Estranged, which I did hear for the first time in high school even though it was released when I was only a couple years old.

Something like… 1. Grateful Dead 2. Led Zeppelin 3. Pink Floyd 4. Jimi Hendrix 5. Soundgarden / Alice In Chains / STP / Pearl Jam / Nirvana / Smashing Pumkins Somehow I omitted Tom Petty which is unacceptable. Probably swap out Pink Floyd since they have an equal amount of stuff I don’t care for to go with what I love.
