Thought this was pretty fantastic myself. I really appreciated the quieter moments, and even the action was quite good. I honestly don't know if I've ever gotten teary-eyed at of a CBM movie, but there's always a first for everyone. X-24 was also excellent BTW, although I wasn't entirely on board with her being a child. I think it served the story well. Probably the best X-Men film to date, although its got some competition. She is X-23. I'm aware. I've read the comics. I just got the numbering mixed-up, because for some reason X-24 just kept coming to my head. My bad!

I don´t think it quite lives up to the hype, but it definitely the most interesting comic book film in quite some time, and it puts marvel to shame. I don´t think it all works, especially the final act does have some major issues, and it doesn´t go quite as deep as it should for its running time, but overall very solid, and i am very glad we finally got a proper wolverine film, even if it is the last.

variety.com/2017/film/columns/logan-hugh-jackman-x-men-1202002329/The Lesson of ‘Logan’: Superhero Sagas Are Better When They’re Real MoviesThis is one of the reasons why I liked it so much. It was about real characters with real stakes. There wasn't a giant hole in the sky threatening mankind. There was a threat against the fully realized characters that we love.

I'm not sure a superhero movie has ever ended so well. Fantastic. Very good movie all around. Maybe hurt a little by seeing Get Out the day before which was even better. March has been fantastic so far.

Legitimately Jackman's best performance to date.

I don't get the praise for this film. Every single character was dispensable, the attempt to deconstruct the super hero narrative is basic and heavyhanded. The whole thing builds up to this ridiculously sappy, manipulative and may I say obvious finale. The presence of Wolverine and Professor X's old selves in a non story like this has no justification whatsoever. I mean why? I don't see why this late adventure is needed to be told. Oh and don't get me started about how self seriously overlong this crap is. No, thanks. 4/10

Really good. The best X-Men films in the franchise, and the most emotional one too.

Just saw it for the second time and loved it even more. Easily one of the best superhero movies ever and my favorite superhero movie since The Dark Knight (and in many ways it's even better than Nolan's film). It's a once-in-a-blue-moon example of a genre film getting everything correct from start to finish. It's been a long time since I've seen an action film that was so deeply felt and emotionally gripping. It's like if something as brutal, uncompromising, and entertaining as Fury Road also left you with tears streaming down your face. What an unbelievably pleasant surprise. Did anyone expect this movie to be this great? While I'm a rather big fan of the X-Men franchise, I didn't like either of the previous Wolverine installments, and Mangold hasn't made a good film in ten years. Who would've thought he'd set the new bar for the genre?
Oh, and as a big fan of the franchise, that final shot floored me. One of my favorite ending shots in cinema, and easily the best of the genre.

I think I didn't get most of it, found it boring, too slow, long moment that could be mostly just cut off that probably work for Wolverine fans (that do not want the movie to finish) I imagine.
1) I don't get the villains at all in this, they decided to eliminate the asset, so a rogue worker help them evade. Now they want them back absolutely alive ? Risking their live to ridiculous extent just for money ? That felt extremely forced to me. With terrible strategy and weapon to do so, why not just kill them (the movie clearly establish you can easily do it with a special bullet), specially that their technology got better and that they can create adult version that obey to them. None of that enterprise made any sense to me and no one in that group action/motivation either, from the low ranked people to the high ranked.
2) All the lazy exposition with a video that made no sense, even thought it was not because they lacked time in the movie to do it in a better way.
3) A strange lack and/or changing sense of urgency about everything, the woman that need to get out right away before X date, but then they stay everywhere and take their time for the rest of the journey.
4) Who are the youngs are talking too in Canada and why would they become safe the second they pass the frontier in the wood ?
I realize that none of those issue would have bothered me at all in a movie I would have liked.

Noir version too. They are showing it in cinemas in America today and Hugh and James are doing Q&A.
I never hated not being in US more.
