I feel like these are going to be an interesting lot. It's a real mixed bag in terms of the quality of they year overall. Also, as the voting pool on these things begins to thin, will we see the more 'predictable' Oscar choices dominate, or will we have more wiggle room for 'inspired' choices to sneak in. Anyway, screw you Black Panther, and rot in hell Black Swan...Black Bynamite is the one that should have been a Best Picture nominee...can we fix that here. I doubt it .

Best Original SongAnd the nominees are...
*Note, the song "Smoke Without Fire" from An Education originally received enough votes to be nominated, but was discovered to have not originated with the film, so it was replaced with the next contender in line.

Not surprised Avatar missed, but still disappointed.
Still, if Holmes squeezes in, I can’t complain.

I almost said it was an exact match with the Oscars, but then I remembered we were smart enough to remember District 9.

I mean, I understand *why* people didn’t watch Revenge of the Fallen (or at least why they didn’t acknowledge it), but it really deserved a mention for VFX.
EDIT: Still, good on them for remembering Coraline.
