It says DiCaprio and Scorsese will executive produce. Nothing about DiCaprio starring yet but I doubt it.
Not the news I was hoping for on a Monday morning.

I was wondering when DiCaprio would make the move to television... You know Homeboy wants an Emmy.

Huge news. Surprising bc Scorsese just did 3 or 4 projects with Netflix, and Leo is friends w Ted Sarandos, but this is a major step up to the plate moment for Hulu. I'm curious how far along they are in developing this, shoot next year after Flower Moon finishes?

Admittedly, I always thought this would be difficult to adapt into a feature film. Still, I would have preferred to see them try.

Good. It's too broad and expansive a story to fit into one film and do it justice.

Seems like Scorsese/DiCaprio were never satisfied with the script in all its stages over the years.
Disappointing news but I'll hope for the best.

Yeah, I'd put a solid 10000:1 that Leo's gonna be in this.

Yeah, I'd put a solid 10000:1 that Leo's gonna be in this. "I'd like ten bucks on those odds"

There's certainly enough for this to fit the longer miniseries format, but I think it could've worked as an epic feature film too. The material is so rich that either way would work. I assumed Leo/Scorsese would still be doing it, but the big question right now is if they are just producing or acting/directing.

"Good" was my exact first reaction as well. I read the book last year and the whole time was thinking that it needed a proper miniseries to give it justice. DiCaprio would've been a perfect H.H. Holmes -- based on how he's described in the book I kept picturing him in the role -- but I'm sure a number of other actors could do just as well.

Never read the book, so I'll believe you when you say the book is too heavy for a movie only. Still, it's underwhelming 'cause it probably means Leo won't act in it.

I think this is a good move and the story would work better in this format.

Yeah, I'm seeing Pattinson's name in the mix on Twitter, and frankly, I think that's brilliant.

Is he playing Holmes or Burnham? The article doesn't specify.
Burnham would make a lot more sense... but either way I'm cautiously hyped.
and how about this buried in the article?
direct the whole thing, dude.

After my initial reaction I read the article and had the same question. I suppose he’s be ok as Burnham. Don’t think he’d be a good fit for Holmes though.

Keanu's got to be Burnham. No way should they cast that guy as Holmes. Don't see it.
Anyway, it would have been challenging to condense the book into a movie successfully, so I'm cool with it being a series.

Keanu as Burnham?? I like Keanu but he struggles with period pieces... and this would be a big deal role. It's a sacredly great book you shouldn't take chances with. I have friends who've been tracking this project obsessively and they're pretty outraged with his casting. I'd sign up for Damon and Pattinson. Todd Field a plus!
