I’m gonna try and plow my way through RE2make and R3make first, but RE2 genuinely makes me anxious as hell. Which means it’s doing its job, but I’m too stressed R3make is great but I feel like it's a bit too short. They cut out some stuff from the original and while I think it was for the best, it feels slight compared to RE2make, which stakes a claim of being an all-timer game. Remind me -- have you played RE7 and Village? No. I plan to at some point. I also wasn’t thirsty for Lady Dimetrescu

Gonna be buying my copy of The Great War: Western Front soon. People who are into the history of World War I have been getting absolutely spoiled lately

Just finished setting up my Playstation 4!
Gonna buy Bastion right off the bat, as it is currently 85% off and I want to play it anyway.

Is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 worth playing? My PS4 came with a code to download the game, but tbh I'm not very interested in it.

I’ve switched gears to God of War (2018). As someone who’s never played the OG trilogy, this is firmly in my wheelhouse.

So here I am playing FFXIV when my computer crashes again. This has been a problem for over a month now, I've tried updating my drivers, reinstalling Windows, bringing the computer to a repair guy that couldn't find anything wrong. No dice, nothing has worked. I'm asked if I'm having connection issues, I say no, it's just crashing. After the dungeon a guy sits down and walks me through software troubleshooting for 45 minutes and we find an old Windows file sitting around that he's certain is the culprit (although he had me check several things as well, all of which came up as functioning correctly). I was about to send the computer in to another repair guy, but perhaps this will work. At the least, I received help from a total stranger, and that made my day.

Imagine my immense disappointment that this isn't a game where Jeff Probst hosts a version of Survivor where Jedi compete, and that there's one Jedi made exclusively for the game named Bah Stonrob.

Chris Underwood lets Rick Devens strike him down so he can become more powerful than Rick can possibly imagine.

Note to self: Do not summon other players for help in Bloodborne. My damn "helper" practically killed Father Gascoigne in one blow. I think he also T-posed on the way out, so there may have been other shenanigans going on. Pisses me off that I didn't get to really do the fight. I lost a few times and decided to ring for help because I don't have such an ego that I need to take everything down myself... but I'd prefer to actually be *involved* in the fight.

Just finished my unguided, hit my head against the wall run of Bloodborne. I'm... not especially excited to look into everything I missed? It is a (mostly) well designed game, but unlike Dark Souls or Demon's Souls, this feels obtuse and lacks sufficient incentive to care about what is happening. I'll still play through a sort of guided run (so I can visit areas that I missed entirely), but it feels like a chore, instead of the utter joy it was to crawl through every nook and cranny of Lordran or Boletaria.
I will post more detailed explanations of why I feel this way after going through the game again.

I grinded all my playable classes (Dragoon/Bard/Machinist/Gunbreaker/Warrior/Dark Knight/Samurai/Monk/Ninja/Sage/Reaper/Red Mage/Black Mage) to Level 80 before I started Shadowbringers and did most of the available side-quests, and now I'm powering through the story. I just got to the part where Lord Vauthry, that fat fuck, revealed himself to be eating Sin Eaters and he flapped away on tiny wings to Mount Gulg. SOYLENT GREEN IS SIN EATER.

I just got to the part where Lord Vauthry, that fat fuck, revealed himself to be eating Sin Eaters and he flapped away on tiny wings to Mount Gulg. SOYLENT GREEN IS SIN EATER. Best character in ShB. What I love about that reveal is that it is really obvious from the start what is going on the moment you enter Kholusia, and tons of side characters know that it smells to high heaven but they don't want to face the consequences of voicing their suspicions. The writer is smart enough to know that not all people would accept the lie without question, and our first viewpoint into this world is through the skeptics, immediately putting us on guard through every interaction before we even enter Eulmore. And then we meet the Chais and they're the loveliest people in all the reflections and it makes the monstrosity of it all even more awful, knowing that many of the people in Eulmore are completely innocent. I need to start doing some extremes again just so I can get into the swing of doing different roles. I finally have my computer back (after THREE WEEKS with this repairman! I really need to stop being so polite on the phone... at least this guy seems to have fixed the problem, so points for that) and I think trying to tank a little in serious content should make me a better healer. I'm gearing up for the day I can do ultimates and savages... in, like, 40 years. What's your favorite job of the thirteen you have leveled? I started as scholar and my heart is still in my book. (They also have some of the coolest lore.) Weirdly, trying to DPS is nerve-wracking for me. I've spent so much time with simple attack rotations (does one primary button count as a rotation?) and my eyes on my party's positioning and health that I find myself flustered by stringing combos together with OGCDs in between. I feel like I've come at things through a different path from everyone else who is terrified of healing.

I feel like I've come at things through a different path from everyone else who is terrified of healing. I had a feeling that something was off when I went to Eulmore for the first time, and I figured there was some brainwashing going on, but frankly I was too preoccupied with the fact that I had randomly entered a whole other realm just beforehand and was still trying to orient myself with the story. But yeah, I feel like a prevailing theme of this expansion is the danger of the bystander effect. I was glad to see Dulia-Chai at least turn a corner, though. She's a lot of fun. If I had to rank the jobs in terms of my preference, both in terms of questlines and gameplay: 1. Dragoon 2. Machinist 3. Dark Knight 4. Reaper (not as much storyline as the others, obviously, but what we got is fantastic!) 5. Bard 6. Monk 7. Gunbreaker 8. Red Mage 9. Samurai 10. Black Mage 11. Ninja 12. Warrior 13. Sage (healer classes are just not my thing, but I want to explore it a bit more)

oh man, the feeling you get when after putting 20+ hours of building, tweaking, and obsessively decorating your settlement in Fallout 4 and then outfitting and organizing all your settlers and you can finally say you're finished.
