Both are great Huller's display of awkardess is pretty masterful, and the way in which she slowly breaks free of her social and professional shackles is a joy to watch really, and that song!!
That said, I give the vote to Simonischek, who plays the dual part of his role perfectly. Hilarious as Toni but quite solemn and almost pitiful as a father desperate to reconnect with his daughter.
As a character piece it's tremendous.

Huller, even though both are great and turn this movie into an awkwardly delicious experience.

I voted for Sandra, pretty much solely on the basis that Peter is so easy to love in the film that it's easy to adore his performance. But I mean, they're both great. I saw a screening with a Q&A with Peter afterwards and I totally wanted to ask him for a hug. I didn't of course (even though many people were speaking to him.) He is gigantic and I was scaaarrreeeddd! How I loved this film. So hilarious but also I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed and had to sit through the Q&A with a big tear-stained face, hahaha. Every time I see anything pertaining to the film now, it makes me smile. Shall we have out very own (metaphorical. Though it could easy be literal since we're all in our own homes) naked party here? The scene where Sandra sings....

Sandra Hüller without a doubt, there's so much internal work going on there behind the eyes, I can barely even call it a performance because she's just so lived-in. Love it! Simonischek is absolutely wonderful though, one of the funniest performances of the year.

Huller. You can see the pain and the sadness in her eyes along with her actions, her deep insecurities and annoyances. Overall, genius.
