So you've reduced the game to a 2 quarter game, Goff is utterly confused, Gurley is MIA, and the only signs of anyone being a threat is that you can't stop Edelman. Make some adjustments - you've picked Brady, stopped them on 4th down, and they've missed a field goal........you got to start translating that defense into points now.
Just imagine if the Chiefs in the Championship Game or the Rams tonight had mastered the art of the checkdown. All those people who came in their pants after that 54-51 game and proclaimed how it was the future of football are looking like idiots right now.
Rams D played their asses off until they ran out of gas towards the end (time of possession disparity is pretty hilarious).
Offense was pretty pathetic..... though the phantom hold on John Sullivan during one of their better drives and Cooks getting mugged in the end zone didn't help matters............ but I'm not a Saints fan so that's the last time I'll mention the officiating.
Brady had one great throw to Gronk to set up the TD... but didn't really do anything outside of that besides throwing to a wide open Julian Edelman ten times.
Basically, my hero Sean McVay got bitchslapped by Belichick. Disappointing... but 2 years ago I wouldn't have believed the Rams would be in the Super Bowl today... so I can't get too angry.
