Paul Schrader (in Screenplay) Toni Collette Lynne Ramsay Thom Yorke Elizabeth Debicki The Death of Stalin in Screenplay Buster Scruggs in Cinematography Willem Dafoe
Things that I’d say are more “long shots” than “miracles” that I’m hoping for: Ethan Hawke, Bo Burnham in Screenplay, Yalitza Aparicio, Beale Street as this year’s Phantom Thread in BP/BD.

Seeing the mediocrity of the Supporting Actress category... And of course Burning for Best Foreign Film, it won't be "a miracle" but it's (shamefully) probably fighting for the last (2) spot(s).

I've got a long wishlist 1. The Favourite to lead the pack in nominations (with Lanthimos getting in for BD) 2. First Reformed for Hawke and screenplay 3. Thomasin McKenzie (this would be a miracle) 4. Viola Davis (just so I can be right ) 5. Ballad of Buster Scruggs getting in for at least costume design 6. Burning for FLF 7. Viggo Mortensen getting snubbed, regardless of who replaces him 8. Cold War for screenplay and cinematography 9. First Man for score 10. Vice massively underperforming 11. Green Book underperforming (super unlikely since even the backlash hasn't kept it down) 12. Suspiria for makeup oh yeah and an adapted screenplay nom for Leave no Trace would be great.

Supporting Actress is very underwhelming this year. It seems its Names trumps Performances this year. I want to see Kidman Hawke Colette would be too much to ask for.

Picture: First Man gets in. Green Book and Bohemian Rhapsody miss out. Director: Pawel Pawlikowski or Damien Chazelle replace Pete Farrelly and Adam McKay. I'm hoping I don't have to pray for Lanthimos to get nominated. Lead actress: Joanna Kulig, Nicole Kidman, Viola Davis or Toni Collette get in. Maybe Pike too. Glenn Close and Emily Blunt are snubbed. Lead actor: Lucas Hedges, Ryan Gosling, Ethan Hawke or Willem Dafoe get in. Maybe Redford too. Viggo Mortensen and Rami Malek are snubbed. Supporting actress: Elizabeth Debicki and Claire Foy. Amy Adams is snubbed. Supporting actor: Nicholas Hoult and Ben Foster. Sam Rockwell is snubbed. Original Screenplay: First Reformed Best foreign language film: Burning. Noms for any of these: Paddington 2, The Ballad for Buster Scruggs, Widows, Annihilation, Boy Erased, Bad Times at the El Royale, You Were Never Really Here and Hereditary. Vice, Green Book, Bohemian Rhapsody, A Star is Born and to a lesser degree Black Panther underperform.

Hugh Grant for Paddington 2.Joanna Kulig For Cold War. Wrong year.Should have been last year . Paddington 2 came out in the United States in January so I believe Hugh Grant would be eligible this year. He’s gotten a few nominations in recent months from Critic’s awards like in Los Angeles, Austin, and Florida.

So we're talking miracles...okay then:
No nominations for A Star Is Born
Many nominations for Mandy, but I'd settle for Nic Cage in Actor
Many nominations for Bad Times at the El Royale, but I'd settle for Lewis Pullman in Supporting Actor
Many nominations for The Rider, but I'd settle for Brady Jandreau in Actor
Supporting Actor for Nicholas Hoult
