I was surprised they showed it so early. For me, it was the first commercial after the coin toss.

In that case I’ll make sure to buy a ticket for it but sneak into an independent movie instead.

I have to begrudgingly admit there wasn't anything here I liked. Forced/unearned drama, the generic, overbearing score, ugly visuals and CGI, lame humor. Really awkward scene at the end with Hemsworth and Larson. No actual intrigue, tension, mystery, stakes, set pieces, authentic/ heartfelt moments. Hope this will be decent but right now it's giving me Age of Ultron vibes.

Considering that the Russos said that all the trailers would only feature material from the first 20 minutes of the movie, I'm quite sure that all the stuff in bold will be in the actual film itself. It's obvious that they try to put in as little stuff as possible in these trailers and they can afford it too seeing how everyone will still go and watch this movie. Frankly they don't need trailers at all for this, they'll still get their 2 billion

Frankly they don't need trailers at all for this, they'll still get their 2 billion I know all of that, doesn't make it any less lazy and ineffective (IMO ofc) and that's exactly that it will make money regardless of the quality of the promotional material and finished project. I'm not taking about a hypothetical film that hasn't been seen yet, only basing my thoughts off the trailer, which I think could have been a lot better no matter how limited the footage shown was. I do have a hard time believing everything we've seen so far is only from the first 20 minutes, esp. the stroll of the superheroes in the new costumes etc. but we shall see. Certainly prefer trailers that show less rather than spoil the whole thing so it has that going for it.

Main characters weren't dying in the second film. This is literally the End Game. Captain's last film. Possibly Tony's last film. I love that they went back to the beginning. This is the hook. Now we get to be surprised during the action scenes because we haven't seen any footage. The drama and tension were built up through the past 10 years. All the things you are describing essentially define the genre. If you're not already a fan, this film probably isn't for you.

Yeah, feel free to have a different emotional response to the trailer than me. Trailers are meant to sell you on the movie and this one did nothing to convince me I need to see it on the big screen. One is allowed to be critical of something without being told "If you're not already a fan, this film probably isn't for you."

Okay the Russos aren't kidding when they said that much of the trailers will feature the first 30 min of the film. There's only a few shots in there but i'm okay with it.
- Tony's back on earth and i can't wait to see him meeting Steve. There's gonna be a lot of manful tears. - I'm getting serious 'Cap dies a heroic death' vibes. - Thor and Carol are gonna team up and bitch slap Thanos. - Quantum Realm suits. Time travel and possibly reversing the snap. - Not a single shot of Hulk. I guess Banner won't Hulk out until the last moment.
Can't wait for April 26.

I’m speculating that Banner will turn into Hulk relatively early and stay as Hulk for the majority of the movie. Kinda the reverse of Infinity War.

There be rumors floating about that this is gonna top three hours (even by Feige himself). Not surprising, but wow, that’s long.
EDIT: Multiple outlets, including AMC, are reporting it’ll clock in at 182 minutes (3 hours 2 minutes).

Yeah I’ve heard all this 3+ hour buzz. Sounds like it’d be bloated as hell, but honestly, good on them if they go for it. Can’t remember the last time a major studio release dared to be that long.

Well, the Lord of the Rings films were long af and those were very successful (with critics and audiences alike) . Not saying Endgame will be on that level of quality but I'd be perfectly fine watching a 3 hour + Avenger film and I'm pretty confident that the Russos bros will make it flow nicely (or at least thats what I'm hoping for! lol) IMO they managed the screen time between well with Infinity War (giving a lot of the Avengers enough screen time to shine) . I am hoping Cap gets a LOT of screen time (I've enjoyed his journey the most out of all the Avengers and he's hands down the most likable character)
Bring on Endgame
