Who do you want to see run against Trump in 2020?

First off, the Democrats need to take Bernie, Clinton and Biden off the table. Ageism aside, they need to invest in someone who can run on a potential two-term platform, and all three of these people are in their seventies. And Clinton proved that she is just too radioactive for moderates/anti-Trump voters to rally behind; she went up against perhaps the most contentious and disliked opponent she could have and still lost (yes, she won the popular vote, but the Electoral College historically favors the GOP).
I'd favor a Kamala Harris/Tammy Duckworth ticket for 2020 myself.

Theoretically I'd be fine with any of these options (sans Clinton and Winfrey because fuck no). As far as who I think could beat Trump, I don't know. Warren is my favorite on this list but I don't know if she could win.

I really don't know. I think Biden or Sanders would have been good in 2016 to beat Trump, but they will be too old in 2020.
Please not Oprah or Hillary, that would be horrible.

Bernie Sanders.
He’s the most well liked politician in America. He has the name recognition now. Majority of his views are what majority of American people agree with, and he’s on the popular side before it’s even popular, which shows he’s honest and shows he truly believes in what he says. He doesn’t speak like a normal politician which people love (see Trump), and he’s against the trade deals, which ultimately lead Trump to win in 2016. He’s the best to option to beat Trump because Bernie has the qualities that people loved about Trump, and more. He’s not apart of the establishment. People want change, and Bernie brings change.
The argument about his age is a poor argument. He’s in great health and there’s a VP for a reason (who would also be a populist leftist/social democrat) god forbid he dies in office. He’d also have the best pickings for the cabinet.
Joe Biden would be pretty much be like another Obama. He’s a corporate democrat that won’t push for values that the American people truly want.
Booker/Harris/O’Rourke are a bunch of other corporate democrats faking to be progressive.

So I don't know if he would be the best candidate to beat Trump.

Bernie is just a few years older than Trump and Trump obviously isn’t in the best of shape.

I go out of my way not to watch their videos, and if I do, I watch them with a grain of salt. I can’t even name a host other than Cenk or Ana. Please feel free to counter anything that I said though. Also, as someone whose admitted to watching Steven Crowder videos and seriously thinking he’s one of the bests analysts on the right, you have no place to judge what other people watch. “Bernie a socialist! Socialism bad! He turn Murcia’ to Venezuela! 😡”

Also yeah idiots like Bernie Sanders if they had it all their way would turn a place like the States into another Venezuela. Not intentionally of course but he's a moron.

I remember you saying he was one of the best, if not one of your favorites. Then Atn hopped in and said that he’s not a fan of Crowder and likes Shapiro better. As for your second point, ahahahahaha. Yes, if America gets a universal healthcare system, higher minimum wage, clean finance reform, legalized marijuana, paid vacation time off, and implements higher taxes on the rich and big corporations, they’ll turn into Venezuela. That’s why here in Canada, I’m currently ‘eating rats’ since I’m ‘starving’.

If he had it all his way he would go further than what he said. Anyway all the things he promotes would be shit for America. America is all business and it will lose business with a mongrel like him. We're already seeing what that gobshite Trump is doing with his ridiculous tariffs something your boyfriend approves of.

Especially the steel and aluminum tariffs. www.sanders.senate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/sanders-statement-on-trump-tariffsBernie will easily win if these are the best arguments against him. Also, your argument about him wanting to go further left has no evidence to back it up. So it’s not a worthy argument. How about just go policy by policy of his. He’d be a center/leftist here in Canada and the Scandinavian countries. How scary!

He's probably just changed his tune because he's considering running for president again.
In the Democratic Socialist platform, they go on about how they'd be unable to take control of the means of production inferring they want to take over it. Also those Scandinavian countries are more capitalist in a lot of ways than America so I don't know what you're waffling about.

Bernie made those statements right after the news about the steel and aluminum tarrifs were released lol. So what you’re saying isn’t true. He did praise Trump about ‘getting rid of TPP’, but we all know what happened there. Bernie isn’t the type of person to change his tune based on what’s popular. I think even his biggest opponents will admit that. Bernie isn’t a democratic socalist. He’s a social democrat. He mislabels himself, but if you actually do research for 10 minutes, you’ll see he’s a social democrat. The way he defines democratic socialism is what a social democracy is. He’s said countless times how he doesn’t want the government to take over the means of production. His voting record has consistently been in support of small buisness entrepreneurship and innovation. We’ve had this discussion countless times already. If you seriously believe that Bernie is a socialist and he’ll turn America in Venezuela, arguing with you is pointless. The Scandinavian countries are welfare states. They have a more rounded mix of socialism and capitalism than the U.S with a strong social saftey net. Bernie always points towards the scandinavian countries such as Denmark for what his vision of the U.S should be. Those scandinavian countries are socially democratic.
