the weakest of the Dollars trilogy but still pretty damn good. Once Upon a Time better crack the top 5 or I SWEAR Only if it comes second to The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Love 'em both but Wallach pushes the '66 film ahead by a nose. Wallach was definitely better than I remembered but Bronson > The Man with No Name Fonda > Lee Van Cleef (character, writing, and performance) Once Upon a Time's revenge narrative > GBU's treasure hunt narrative

The Proposition definitely should be higher, but I'm satisfied with its placement nonetheless. Probably the most explicitly tragic western I've ever seen, and I loved the shit out of it for that. Could really use a re-watch, now that I think about it...

Love that it made it this high at least. One of the most underrated Best Picture nominees ever, with one of the most heartbreaking performances by Dana Andrews.

Was honestly expecting Django Unchained to make the top ten, so I'm just relieved it's not any higher to be honest.

Love that the Ox-Bow Incident made it into the top 20. It's such a fucking perfect film and super revelant too. One of Fonda's very best performances too.
