Hmm, where have I seen this before?
This is on par with the first Incredibles 2 trailer, in that all it tells us is "this film exists". And I'm not sure it has any reason to, but I have to at least give them credit for their choice of song.

I didn't ask for a sequel but i don't mind one.

I love the Toy Story films. So much so that it might even be my favorite trilogy of all-time. That being said, though, I am wholly against this 4th one. The 3rd one ended on such a perfect note and brought the series to its proper conclusion that really renders anything that comes after it to be nothing more than a superfluous cash-grab. As much as I love this series and Pixar in general I just can't see myself ever having the desire to see this film.

Yeah, the ending of that third film went out of its way to give the characters a proper send-off (I think it even went a bit OTT with that tbh) so it really feels cynical and emotionally cheap for them to make this cash grab of a fourth installment.

Agree with everyone else. I don't know why we need another one. Toy Story 3 was the perfect conclusion

I was in the same camp of thinking Toy Story 3 was perfect and there was no need to make a new one, but now that it looks like the story is going fully down the existential rabbit hole it first opened with the first film, I'm interested.

I'm still not sure if we even needed this sequel at all from Pixar, especially right after how the third movie ended. Many animation studios would receive their share of flacks for producing sequel after sequel...so how's Pixar really any different from the rest nowadays? At least the official synopsis sounds a little better than the earlier plot idea they wanted to go for. Of course, I'll go wait and see for more.

Even two very familiar duos will lend their voices for another animated movie.

You know what would make this movie?
Liam Neesons and Bruce Willie.

I think it’s safe to say we’re past the days when Pixar would only make sequels if they genuinely believed it could live up to the original. Now they know they can make money off of nostalgia alone (see Finding Dory and The Incredibles 2). This movie will certainly be competently made but I really don’t expect anything special from it.

I’m actually holding onto hope for this (I gotta stay loyal to Pixar), but I’m looking forward to after this movie’s done, when they’re supposed to be making six original ideas back to back.

Looks like a bit of a retread of Toy Story 2, but it appears nice regardless. That use of God Only Knows, was pretty darn great too.

I always kinda forget how good Pixar’s cinematography has become. This trailer has shots.
It looks fine tbh. After every one of these I’ve always been convinced there shouldn’t be a sequel but then they end up doing a fair job making some sense out of the next one thematically. So.

This looks so much better than I ever expected. Loved the old fashioned atmosphere in the trailer, song choice and the antique store chase. Looks very good visually too and like it could be my favorite Pixar film since well... Toy Story 3. It's been a drab decade for Pixar for sure. Have a hard time seeing it come close to TS3 and the plot feels a lot more loose (TS3 had a great script). But I'm definitely excited for this now.

I have mixed feelings, mostly because of the iffy editing. Whatever footage we get to see still looks good however.
