Oof. Tough choice. I've always bene partial to "Alone, Together", though. The title track, "Take It or Leave It," and "Someday" are all favorites as well, and not far behind. Really, every track on this album is a gem.

One of the last gasps of Rock and Roll (it's not dead but really it may as well be), the early 2000s were a great time with this and Up the Bracket, White Blood Cells, Guitar Romantic - I dig all of that more than anything America had come with since 80s alternative and the UK had come up with since the first 2 Oasis records. This is a genuinely classic record - if it had come out in the 70s it could stand with the albums that influenced it. Neat trick......
I'll vote for Someday because darlin' my heads not right...........

Very close between "Someday" and "Last Nite" but I went with the former.

Love The Strokes. Great album, although I do prefer Room on Fire to it by a good deal, actually. I find that one more passionate and stirring and it just feels more perfect, I don't know.
Anyway, favorite here has to be Barely Legal, although there's not a single weak song on this thing.

This album has nary a song I would describe as less than very good, and most of them I would describe as fantastic. I will give my vote to "New York City Cops", as it has some killer riffs, and I find it is The Strokes song (other than 12:51) that is most often in my head.

Too late to vote, but Hard to Explain is easily their best song, period.
