They need to cut a new trailer. The reviews are better than that trailer. I like whodunits so I would have watched it anyway.

still doesn't look good to me. Not sure why. I'm still gonna see it because the feedback has been great but these trailers are doing nothing for me. They're making it look really strange and tonally all over the place.

That second trailer seemed a tad too spoiler-y for my liking, but I'm loving the emphasis on Ana de Armas.

That second trailer is at least more promising. Still the overall tone seems a bit to shrill/strange, but the good reviews keep my hopes up high.

That second trailer seemed a tad too spoiler-y for my liking, but I'm loving the emphasis on Ana de Armas. Just a few days ago one of my friends asked a few of us who we thought was going to be the killer, and one of my guesses was that Christopher Plummer faked his death or something like that. I had no idea he was a mystery writer, but now I'm wondering if it's something like that, or he's trying to set his family up. ... Looks great to me. Huge improvement over the first trailer. I’m all in. I was one of the few that liked the first trailer, but I agree this was definitely a huge improvement. No jokes that don't land for people, and emphasizes the whodunnit parts a lot more.

Excuse me if I'm missing something but... is something wrong with Craig's voice??

There were also good reviews for Star Wars: The Last Straw, but we all know how that turned out. It gave us the best film in the franchise? The movie makes no sense on any sort of plot or character development level, Stephen! Luke transforms into a misanthropic hermit somehow and somehow graduates to attempting to murder children offscreen. Holdo keeps secrets from her men for no damn reason. Canto Byte is the most idiotic, silliest subplot in ANY MAJOR FRANCHISE MOVIE in recent memory! Tonal consistency is nonexistent, with awful gag humor mixed into serious scenes (Poe made a "yo momma" joke in the middle of a serious, life-threatening situation for chrissakes!), Hux is turned into a clown, the movie sets up a major villain and randomly murders him with seemingly nothing more in mind than "being shocking," and each of our three new heroes continue to be lifeless husks with little personality. But it did give us Rey/Kylo fireside chats, which are better than anything in TFA's mediocrity by a long shot, so at least this movie had some positives. Too bad the movie just dumps that narrative and turns Kylo back into a violent baby throwing tantrums (much like I do whenever I think of this film) instead of actually -- GOD FORBID -- following through on an arc!

Well, it certainly can happen, but still usually I have more of an overlapping with liking the movies that have a score in the 70s or 80s than in the 30s.
And while I agree that The Last Jedi was a disappointment, Rian Johnson also made Brick, for which he still has credit in my books.

I've been duped by Rian Johnson fout times - don't plan on going through the same disappointment for the fifth time.

Too much involvement from studio and lucas ruined Rian's vision of the movie. Link? Because I honestly haven't seen any info that says that. Lucas seems to be hands off, and while I'd love to blame Disney, Johnson hasn't made a good movie since Brick.

So the reviews about this were good or not? Can't remember and I'm quite hyped about this film.
