Also, there is currently a tie at the top and both artists have appeared on 3 lists. However, one of them has peaked at #2 while the other has peaked at #3.

Also, #1 has a comfy 18 point lead so far at this point.
And so far if an artist has peaked at #7 on a ballot at this point, it'd be good enough to make the Top 50. If that #7 placement is it's only ballot appearance it would be in a (currently) 5-way tie for 50th.

If that #7 placement is it's only ballot appearance it would be in a (currently) 5-way tie for 50th. Correction: The peak actually has to be at #6, not #7 and only 1 artist has a sole #6 placement which is good for being alone in 50th place. 3 other artists have the same number of points but currently place higher due to appearing on 2 ballots each and those tiebreakers are being decided by peak placement.

Somehow, I knew this was going to be the song choice for the seven-day mark. Iron Maiden's "The Number of the Beast" next? (holy shit, my post count is 666 right now)

There is now a tie at #1, however one has appeared on 7 ballots and the other on 6 so as of now so we got a tiebreaker.

In typical Replacements fashion, I'll post an FYC of the greatest American band not playing a single note.
Interviewer gets the singers name wrong. They call their rivals (Husker Du) the best band in their own town. They slyly reference pro wrestling, their (lack of) fame, make a funny joke at Prince and Sheila E's expense and visibly love and hate each other within a matter of seconds.
The number 1 song in America at this time was Hall & Oates "Out of Touch"..........sounds about right.

Let's FYC the Manchester 5 - The Buzzcocks, Joy Division, Smiths, Stone Roses, Oasis. 5 Bands, one city, a virtual history of British Rock from 77-97 Punk, Post-Punk, Madchester and Britpop where each band sort of summed up previous British Rock history in a way too. Here Oasis does The Kinks Dead End Street video while begging their Dr. for one more line...... Son, words fail me.

FYC :
Sold a ton of records for a long time, more than he's even given credit for especially in the 50s/60s, because of segregated charts and manipulation. His influence musically is almost unable to even be assessed and so is his influence in style.
Prince, Jagger, Michael Jackson couldn't walk without him much less dance, and who at the peak of his fame who could release a spoken word poem - think about that - that pre-dates by 20 years Tupac Nas, Jay and all of rap style and sensibility.

mhynson27cheesecakechris3@raygittes07 Y'all have given some FYCs but don't have ballots in. Time's running out if you want to get one in. And it would also be cool if we could get to at least 15 ballots.

And the clock has hit 0. That's a wrap. Gonna go ahead and count these last couple ballots I haven't gotten to yet and then we'll have the presentation in a few days.
