You're not a big fan of Natalie Wood + Meryl Streep , are you ? I would say both Linda Blair + Emmanuelle Béart are supporting . Stunning montage , as usual . Not particularly. Blair's an interesting case. I think she's so crucial to the story as it is that I can't help but consider her lead (although I nominate McCambridge in supporting; it's an interesting symbiosis that ferments great discussion in terms of their characters, and I wouldn't necessarily turn my nose up at a Blair nod in supporting, but that's me). Béart just felt lead to me on my last go-around of that film (along with Auteuil and Montand; it's probably easier to justify her in supporting if you group the film with Jean de Florette).

And what about Winona Ryder in The Age Of Innocence ? Love the Madeleine Stowe nods + Emma Booth

That's fine. The Academy agreed with you. But in terms of films with love triangles where that is the central conflict/conceit, I generally edge towards having all three lead (case in point, A Place in the Sun).

No problem at all . To each his own . Always enjoy watching your videos , even though I don't always agree with some of your category placements .

Who has the most nominations from you? Garbo? And I'm surprised by your 1997 nods. Namely the absence of Judi Dench and the nomination of Helen Hunt. I'm also surprised by Julie Delpy being lead for White. She was totally supporting imo. Btw the soundtrack is brilliant.

Katharine Hepburn (eleven) is the only other nominee with double-digit Best Actress nominations. Dench was bumped out by a recent Funny Games rewatch, plus I've always really liked (and defended) Hunt's win. As for Delpy, I'd say she's borderline for me.

Sissy? Speaking of Delpy. I'm surprised to not see the Before trilogy up here. And the 2010 lineup still has Ondine on the list despite Mirren ( Tempest. Love that The Queen is up here as well <3) being in the video.
