If McAvoy is half as good here as he was in Split, the critics could tell me that Shyamalan killed my dog and I'd still buy a ticket.

He's insanely consistent even in flops nothing he's done comes comes to Split though. Definitely his career-best. It's a brilliant and challenging self-aware performance in an absurdly self-unaware project. McAvoy was the only one there who realized how silly it was and fully embraced it. He's a consistent performer but nothing else he's done comes close to cracking my top 5.

Lol. Someone labeled it the "Life Itself" of comic book movies. Both of them have Sam Jackson. That’s unfortunate. And I’m probably the only one here who saw Life Itself, so that’s scary.

Was it as bad as they say or was it more a hyperbolic reaction due to talent involved? Uh, it’s both, I guess? Good in it exists, and most of the stuff with the Spanish cast is decent (if melodramatic). It’s just that it has to share the spotlight with the tone-deaf, hilariously awful ego-stroking in the Isaac/Wilde/Cooke side. And the ending is downright offensive in its manipulation.

Cool. It looks like Shyamalan may have another spectacular one at hand! Well... just when you'd think things were starting to look up very well for him again after the embargo.

It seems like fans are enjoying this much more than the critics. Of course, the reactions are coming from early screenings, but it’s a good sign. The ending seems to be the most divisive thing about it.
