Hammer’s mustache is more distracting than Branagh’s.

Well, the production value looks good. At least they didn't give away the plot.

Aside from the phony looking CGI, I'm liking the visual side of this quite a bit (like I did with "Orient Express"). But my disappointment with this movie is that the cast simply isn't all that starry. Part of the fun with these Christie adaptations is that they're kind of supposed to be star-studdied. This cast feels a bit B-minus level to me...

I keep telling myself it can't be worse than the '78 version but then I watch that trailer and it all comes crashing down.

And Then There Were None is waiting for you. Top shelf horror novel right there. She missed her calling, if her supernaturally-tinged horror short stories are anything to go by (start with The Dressmaker's Doll). ATTWN is definitely her best work, though. Ingenious design and it rivals The Thing as a piece of pure paranoia. Outside of that, different books have different strengths. I quite enjoyed the Tommy and Tuppence mysteries - especially Partners in Crime, in which she lovingly pokes fun at various literary detectives - but The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is the only other true classic she penned. It is also the hit that put her on the map.

Someone figured out that the title was offensive and renamed it "Ten Little Indians." Someone figured out that the title was offensive, changed the rhyme to "Ten Little Soldier Boys" (I think so, my copy still said Indians) and here we are.

In many countries there are no copies with the original title anymore so I wasn't sure what was the new one.
