Inspired by this gem from this past week.
I... don't even know where to begin with this.
Davidson shows up to plug a movie, then spends 8 minutes taking passive-aggressive shots at Fallon, showing a clip from a film he isn't even in and running an Oscar campaign for Good Time that's about 9 months too late.
Fallon can't even disguise how pissed off he is behind his usual fake laugh schtick.
And Pattinson just laughs his ass off wondering how the hell he ended up there.
5:34-6:23 is just peak late night awkwardness.

lol, that is probably the most I've ever liked Fallon... Davidson is nothing but annoying here.
I know there's more that I can't think of right now... but the grand daddy:

This one is unbeatable. I think Delevingne is a horrible actress, but the rudeness she gets from the anchors is so unwarranted that I just kept wishing she'd tell them to fuck off or slap them on the face.

A masterpiece from Letterman: "Love you Paris!" "Love you too!" "Somebody you met in prison?" Letterman was SAVAGE

I want to watch all of these.
But cringe makes me feel awkward (one of the reasons I can't watch Meet the Parents ever again, I swear I got legitimately flustered watching the dinner scene).

A masterpiece from Letterman: obviously Paris isn't the beacon of kindness and whatever have you but Letterman came off as an ass here

Never mind. I must have been thinking something else... turns out there wasn't much going on behind the scenes at all. Just David being a bit of a dick for cheap laughs (though, they are pretty funny jabs).

Equivalent of Franco and Hathaway hosting the Oscars, minus Hathaway's attempt to be spunky. 10 hours of Cotillard blinking should be a thing. Fassbender is just talking and trying to make something sound logical.

I remember seeing this when it came out at age 13 and being horrified of them actually airing this. Felt exploitative in a mean freak show type of way.

Yeah, poor Mari, she had a terrible season that year with this and Allied and pregnant and going all over the world promoting crappy films, even her Stephen Colbert interview was wacky as hell. And definitely nothing tops Norton/Wahlberg, I still remember my hands sweating through the entire show, funny how Fassbender is in both of them.

I don't know what was going on with Alice Eve, was she drunk or upset ? never seen what happend before, or maybe she was just skeptical about the whole Suchard's act, feels like she didn't want to be there.

Just came across this masterpiece of uncomfortableness. taking a sudden personal turn about 40 seconds in.
"These seats spin!" should be a universal escape route for all bad conversations.

Another one from Oliver Reed in the '70s..... this one is quite the mix of awkwardness and attempted blue humor. He comes off as a real, um, jerk. And some of the audience applause is questionable to say the least. But he also speaks clearly unlike the previous linked interview. Shelley Winters pours a glass of whiskey over his head which is kind of iconic considering his notorious belligerence and tragic death. (the Youtube comments are insane )
