You can submit just 5 if you'd like and your top choice will still get the full points. Less than 5 and it will count for fewer points.
The eligibility period will be for the first theatrical release in the film's country (or one of its countries) of origin. Look on IMDb for that information.
The voting period will be until July 7th at 11:59pm PST. After the nominations are out, there will be a two and a half week voting period and then the winners will be declared.

Just so there's no confusion, we'll have a list of films whose eligibility might be unclear. If you know of any other films that might cause confusion, let me know so I can add it to the list.
These films are eligable this year:
Byzantium Frances Ha The Hunt Ida Much Ado About Nothing Mud Nymphomaniac* Only Lovers Left Alive The Place Beyond the Pines Snowpiercer Spring Breakers The Tale of the Princess Kaguya To the Wonder Venus in Fur Wadjda What Maisie Knew You're Next
These films are not eligable this year:
Berberian Sound Studio Blue Ruin The Broken Circle Breakdown Coherence Ernest & Celestine A Hijacking In the House Lore Night Moves Shadow Dancer Stories We Tell Tracks
*For simplicity's sake, we can consider both parts together as one film.

Hold up - The Hunt isn't a 2012 release? It was released in Denmark in January of 2013. I suppose, but it released in several different locations (including the UK) in 2012 . . . I kinda feel this should be a special case put up for a vote, rather than simply going by OG release date because a lot of us, myself included, actually got the opportunity to see it in 2012. Just my thoughts, as it is going to do massive damage to my lineups in whichever year it's in.

FYC: It's my year of anime. I won't do this again, promise. Not my fault that Ghibli released two movies and the Magica Quartet made a sequel to Madoka Magica.

This is a real strong year. The Broken Circle Breakdown might cause some confusion. I have it '12 but you never know.
