Best Supporting Actorand the nominees are... Terrific lineup! Almost identical to mine. The only difference being that I had Harrelson instead of Stuhlbarg but I’m plenty happy to see Stuhlbarg recognized (who was #8 for me anyways).

Definitely wish there could’ve been more Good Time love but I’m still thrilled with the recognition it did get. Certainly better than AMPAS. Ray’s flashback story is a masterpiece of editing.

Very pleased to see that Pugh was nominated, and so did Lady Macbeth's screenplay. Not wanting to be "that guy", but all categories (especially the main six) are too American-centric. There were good performances in foreign films last year, and some of them are actually better than most of the ones that ended up being nominated. I'm talking about Claes Bang in The Square, for example, but there's also Diane Kruger (In the Fade), Alexandra Borbély (On Body and Soul) and Maryana Spivak (Loveless). I hope we can have more foreign performances in future editions. Another thing: Ana de Armas being nominated instead of Sylvia Hoeks is odd, to say the least. Both were great, but Hoeks gave the best performance in the film. Thanks for doing this and congratulations for the great presentation.

Surprised to see James McAvoy getting a best actor nod and The Killing of a Sacred Deer getting BP nom.

There hasn't been a specific film that everyone can latch onto like The Hamdmaiden last year.

Out of interest where did Streep finish? It's kind of a shame she couldn't make it in for what was her best nominated performance since Adaptation. I hate that people take her for granted in The Post. One of her best ever performances IMO.

She is the shining light of that film. 2017 was a crazy good year for lead actress and she's perfectly secure in my Top 5.

I was really hoping that The Pure and the Damned from Good Time would get in, but still a solid selection. Was 1 point away from fifth place... NO! I guess that's what I get for ranking it #2 on my ballot.

Just looked at all of the nominations again. My only complaint is The Last Jedi's snub in original score (Williams writes circles around most modern composers), and one or two directors that missed. Great work Vice and Stephen.
