Also, I've 4 open spots for song, so suggestions would be appreciated. SONG OF THE SEA!!! The title song, to be specific. “Everything is Awesome” - The Lego Movie ”Glory” - Selma”Tell Me if You Wanna Go Home” - Begin Again ”Yellow Flicker Beat” - Mockingjay Part 1 I really can't vote for this, because I think the ending song is what keeps the overall film from true greatness. As petty as that may seem, it just feels like it undercuts the feel and flow of the preceding movie. The song itself is fine, but it clashes with Selma itself.

Since Over the Garden Wall is eligible, I recommend giving a listen to the title song and especially Through the Unknown. The songs are unfortunately pretty short (I think they had to be cut down for time), but they do a great job evoking a time and place, and I find the whole soundtrack to be a joy to listen to. "Potatoes and Molasses" just shot to the top of my ballot. I abstained from suggesting it out of fear that I would get lynched for the earworm.

Be sure to watch the entire series, and listen to the really creepy reprise of it in the final ep.

as far as original songs go, I can't believe no one's mentioned "The Last Goodbye" from The Hobbit (Billy Boyd's voice is angelic). Also gonna mention "Heavenly Father" from Wish I Was Here (for fellow Justin Vernon fanbots), and seconding "No Fate Awaits Me" from Eleanor Rigby. Somehow I haven't heard that A Most Violent Year song until today, and now I'm in love. That sax at the end is pure sex Thanks, Martin Stett !

gonna drop some quick FYCs for some underappreciaited gems: Mr Turner for Timothy Spall, Supporting Actress (Marion Bailey), ensemble cast, original screenplay and all the relevant tech categories. You know what they are. Force Majeure for Supporting Actor (Kristofer Hivju) and original screenplay Girlhood for Lead Actress (Karidja Touré) and Celine Sciamma's directing (this woman's directing is so underappreciated) The Immigrant for Lead Actress, directing, and all the relevant tech categories (you know the ones, don't make me come for y'all) A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence for choreography Obvious Child for Jenny Slate and adapted screenplay (adapted is super weak this year and this one is great, DON'T FUCK THIS UP) Mommy for Anne Dorval and Suzanne Clement That's all for now.

Makes me sad that nobody has really mentioned these films thus far (these are all my FYCs as well): (This one also constitutes as a contender for Original Song, but seems like I'm the only one who'll vote for it here!) And I swear to God if this doesn't win score, let alone get in, I'll raise hell I swear -- And of course, I hope Whiplash, The Babadook, Obvious Child, and The Grand Budapest Hotel make it in, but those have already been mentioned. Also pulling for Ben Whishaw in Lilting, James McAvoy in X-Men: Days of Future Past, and Sarah Gadon in Enemy.

Okay, I'm having trouble with the tech categories, especially sound and choreography. Any recs would be appreciated.
Oh, and get The Immigrant into original score, thank you.

Also, before you all vote for Best Stunt, Fight and Dance Choreography, if you haven't seen The Raid 2 yet, then watch this (and any other clips you see online) and then vote it #1. Those who have seen it will most likely be voting it #1 anyway. This isn't just the best of the year stuff, it can stand with the best of all time in regards stunts and fight choreography. ...now go watch the whole film and vote for it in Picture, Director, Editing and Score too. Video blocked on copyright. I didn't care for the first Raid, though, so I doubt I'd dig a sequel.

Is Nymphomaniac eligible? Its Danish release was in 2013, so it's not eligible this year.
