Lots of Top 10 lists all the time, but what is your one favourite film of the decade so far that stands above the rest? Mine's Carol. Perfection in every way.

Probably Amour which told so much about life, in an almost lean, surgical way by the worlds best filmmaker. It's the one that I find too hard to argue against.
The runners up (Three Billboards, Inside Llewyn Davis, Foxactcher, We Are The Best! etc.) are all lesser in some way, not as broad or as overwhelmingly realized).

It's a triple threat match between The Town, Phantom Thread and Thelma.

I don’t know why, but I thought you hated Zero Dark Thirty for some reason. Glad to see that isn’t the case. I rewatched it a few months ago. Still holds up remarkably well (although let’s be real: it needed more Stannis Baratheon), but damned if it still doesn’t make me yearn for a ten-part miniseries on the subject with the same cast and director.

Really? I'm constantly throwing it praise especially in a thread about people complaining that women directors aren't getting enough awards consideration (where I lamented that the same idiots snubbed the best direction of the decade here). This, Fury Road, Gravity, Steve Jobs, and Contagion are my all-timers of the decade so far.
