So it looks a lot like Away from Her, which I love and is one of the best films of 2007 (still raw about the amaras guys ). I do get the sense that I know exactly what's going to happen. I mean, it's a getting sick and [presumably] dying movie, right? What's going to make it palatable is the performances and the screenplay, and I have a lot of faith in the performances at least. I love this iteration of Neeson. I'm ready for him to play a lot more roles like this, that can tap into the quiet warmth and sensitivity we've known he's had since Schindler's. As for Manville, she's always a delight and she's the kind of performer who could knock this kind of role out of the park even with bad material. It doesn't have many reviews yet but they're all positive so far. If this thing sticks the landing are we thinking Neeson and Manville could edge into the race? Either way, I'm down for this.

Ordinary love, totally ordinary movie...
But I liked what I saw. I always enjoy a good romance film.
Plus, I'm a Neeson fan and I really like Manville.

Neeson is way past his sell by date to me - too much junk and I allow for junk too - but I'd argue he was never that great (and self impressed) anyway, but Buster Scruggs was a step back into my good graces and Manville will ace this role you would think.
I'd say interested..........slightly for her but it looks awful familiar......

Off topic but I love your new avy. 👍

So this kinda film doesn't usually draw me in unless it has a favourite actor of mine in it, but thankfully it does with Lesley Manville. I feel like I'll watch it and be moved, but forget it soon after. Still, I'll watch it all the same.
No 'Academy Award Nominee' for Neeson though, weird as Manville got hers.
