Say what you will about Hacksaw Ridge, but it deserved to win this. I gave my win to Don't Breathe, but not going to argue there. I mean, that's an inspired vote, so I can't be too mad at that. Arrival's sound design is good, but Hacksaw stands alone for me.

Can't remember what I chose here, but taking a look at the nominees I probably would've given it to Arrival so that's a solid choice though I still think a lot of great ones were snubbed.

Comfortably fifth of the nominees here, but still solid.

Exactly, I can't be mad about it losing when it's probably one of the most inspired nods of all the nominations. I'm sure I'd choose a couple over Hacksaw in the sound department (looking at my list I sent in I had Don't Breathe and Krisha above it), but I do think it deserved it over Arrival at least.

I still think O.J.: Made in America was hardcore snubbed in Editing, but La La Land is a worthy replacement winner I think.

Arrival deserves this. But thank god it wasn’t this...

In our hearts, we know La La Land was the real winner.

Wow, I'm super surprised that "Drive It Like You Stole It" won. Still a fantastic song, but maybe there were just too many split votes from the La La Land ones?
Also YASSSSSSSSS Doctor Strange!! I'm super meh on the movie, but those special effects were something else.

I was afraid Jackie would spoil here. So glad that wasn't the case.

Wow, way to go Handmaiden with the double win! I actually would've preferred La La Land, strangely enough, in Production Design, but Handmaiden managing to beat it out in both categories is pretty amazing.

I'm actually shocked La La Land even got a Production Design nod. Contemporary films rarely do well in this category 'round these parts.

I guess it could've been worse (*cough* Manchester by the Sea *cough*), but any ensemble that has whatever Naomie Harris was doing doesn't deserve this prize.

Very true, but I think most people nominate it solely for the dream sequence at the end - which it is very much deserving for that, but there's some great production design all throughout as well.
