Ensemble is one of the categories. It's on the list.

Awesome stuff, I shall be more than happy to vote. I may skip best song though, as I think it's a big dumb waste of time. I will post some FYCs later, not for best song though. If there's a halfway decent song or two, I'm open to voting. There's nothing in 2016, though.

Honestly, for shits and giggles I would love something like this to win for 2016 as it's hilariously and perfectly bad, both within the confines of the film, and on its own terms...

I won't post any FYCs because I feel like everyone's pretty much caught up on 2016 by this point and have already made up their minds about what they like.

I'm in the boat for wanting 10 in Picture at least, even if the rest of the big eight categories are sadly only to five.
My big FYC is for Welcome to Happiness. Ignore the ridiculously low RT score because I just don't get the hate (plus it's based off like ten reviews). I still can't believe I'm the only person to have watched this either. Especially if you're a Wes Anderson fan, though it's not entirely like his style but close. Just think it's a really sweet, heartfelt film and Brendan Sexton III is my supporting actor win without a doubt. Possibly one of the best performances of the decade for me so far. Get on it, ya'll.
Other FYCs (only going for the not-so-obvious choices but special mention to Manchester by the Sea which is my #1 of the year): Welcome to Happiness (again, in case you skipped over the paragraph above). O.J.: Made in America. The Eyes of My Mother. Swiss Army Man. Cafe Society. The Handmaiden. The Red Turtle. Krisha. The Neon Demon. Don't Think Twice. Love & Friendship. Patriots Day. Tower.
Acting FYCs:
MALE LEAD Jesse Plemons - Other People. Kyle Gallner - Welcome to Happiness. Daniel Radcliffe - Swiss Army Man. Ryan Gosling - The Nice Guys.
FEMALE LEAD Krisha Fairchild - Krisha. Kim Min-hee // Kim Tae-ri - The Handmaiden. Hailee Steinfeld - The Edge of Seventeen.
MALE SUPPORTING Brendan Sexton III - Welcome to Happiness. Alden Ehrenreich - Hail, Caesar! Tom Bennett - Love & Friendship. Andre Holland - Moonlight.
FEMALE SUPPORTING Imogen Poots - Green Room. Kristen Stewart - Cafe Society. Gillian Jacobs - Don't Think Twice. Elle Fanning - 20th Century Women. Abbey Lee - The Neon Demon.
Song FYCs (for the one who suggested it): La La Land obviously - Not just "City of Stars". "Audition," "A Lovely Night," "Someone in the Crowd," and "Another Day of Sun" are all great songs. Sing Street - "Drive It Like You Stole It" is the obvious choice, but the whole soundtrack is fantastic. Swiss Army Man - "Montage" is the obvious, joyous pick, but "A Better Way" is beautiful. Same goes for the film's score too. Hail, Caesar! - "No Dames" was the best scene in the film (neck-and-neck with the "were it so simple" scene) and didn't get any love for song - even from the ICCs - which is crazy to me.[/i]

I'm gonna miss the ten nominees too, but it'll be interesting seeing how MA votes with only five nominees in play. I wonder how different the results will be from last year's ICCs...

Yeah, I'm sure a lot of recency bias goes out the window in favor of more passionate picks. Though looking back at the BP/BD line-ups for last year, it was actually pretty solid - the only one I didn't like there was Jackie but seems it still has its fans.

Best ICC nominee of the year, bruh.

I don't have a problem with Animated Film and Documentary not being among the categories, but Foreign Film would be a valuable addition... And you should definitely check Lion, btw.
