My favorite TV show of all time and it's not even close.
I have no idea what to expect from the new season, and I'm one of those who thinks the show ended perfectly as it is, but I'm trusting in Lynch that it'll be pretty fucking fantastic.

Just watched most of season one for the first time since it aired on TV. I never did see season two. Trying to be caught up before the new episodes. Nadine Hurley, with her eye patch and her drape obsession is my favorite. I really want to go out to a diner and dance to fingersnap music also, thanks to Audrey Horne.

As a huge David Lynch fan, I had great expectations as far as this show was concerned. I did like it, but not as much as I wanted to. I rate the first season with a 7/10 (never watched season 2). I might give it another try in the future. In regard to performances, the real standout for me was Sherilyn Fenn. Kyle Maclachlan was very good too.

Looking at that those stills, part of me almost feels like they should just pull a Wet Hot American Summer and pretend like no time has passed even though everybody's visibly aged 25 years lol. Then again I wouldn't it put it past Lynch.
Pretty surreal at any rate to see them all in their old costumes. Gonna be really interesting to see how the performances/characters adjust. Also it feels so good to see David Lynch on a film set where he belongs.

Love season one and the first few episodes of season two. Obviously the best episode is 'Lonely Souls', perhaps the greatest thing ever aired on television really. The remainder of season two, though, is considerably lacking and it's no wonder it was cancelled; though I'm so glad it is coming back.
Also Sherilyn Fenn was amazing in it and I loved Coulson too.

It's got a lot of unique humor, great dialogue and great mix of fantasy and realism. The music is also great, the environment is simply beautiful and dark... overall, this is one of the best shows I've ever seen.

Just finished the last episode of the first season, what a brilliant episode! too many surprises Piper is awesome! I don't know if I'm gonna continue the next season The first nine episodes of S2 are EXCELLENT and essential to the show. It's not until later on that Lynch left the show and things go downhill. Keep watching!

I've decided to rewatch Twin Peaks (seasons 1 and 2) so I can catch up with the new season of the show, which will air in my country by the end of May. I found out that I'm actually enjoying the show much more on rewatch than when I saw it for the first time... That cast is just pure gold, they really did magic with what they were given... Wonderful cinematography too, with lots of great shots, especially in the pilot episode. I wish I could go back on time to the early 90's to see how the show was received. It really is something quite different and unique.

This is NOT the work of returning composer Angelo Badalamenti but will apparently be featured at some point on the show. To me, this song gives off a PERFECT Twin Peaks/David Lynch vibe. Two weeks to go!

That was a really interesting read. I'm really hyped for this to start, and hopefully be quality stuff.

I still think I need to re-watch the series and FWWM before watching the new stuff... I don't know why it took me so long to decide this. Same.

The world premiere is happening right now! It's going to be difficult resisting the urge to read reaction tweets. The GF and I just finished another rewatch of season 2. Tonight we're doing the brilliant Fire Walk With Me (and maybe some Rick And Morty afterwards to bring our spirits back up from all the garmonbozia).

Fuck it, I'm just gonna watch this instead of re-watching everything. I want to watch the new stuff asap, and I've already seen the series twice. Hopefully it doesn't detract from the experience. I'll have to check this out later tonight or tomorrow. I definitely wanted to re-watch the whole thing before the new season, but wasn't able to get around to it.

Just realized that it's on the same time as The Leftovers.... sorry David Lynch, you're gonna have to wait! I know, it's hard for me to decide what to prioritize . But I think I'll have to watch Twin Peaks tonight; and thankfully, because the first four episodes are being released, then Peaks won't interfere with the last couple of Leftovers episodes.

So, that two-part premiere... It was a bit underwhelming, mostly because I found it to be something of a slow-burn. The pilot of the original series was three-fourths the length and accomplished about three times as much. I still enjoyed it for the most part. We spent a bit too much time in Buckhorn, and it's still not clear how relevant that story will be in the grand scheme of things. Meanwhile, the character re-introductions were relatively few, though I did enjoy the ones we got (I actually didn't even recognize James until they said his name, and didn't recognize Shelly at all, and only realized it was her after skimming a review of the episode just now). Cooper's stuff stole the show, though, and Kyle MacLachlan is splendid in the dual role so far.
And yeah, there was a good amount of classic Lynch sequences that were beyond bizarre -- especially that one towards the end. I find it fascinating how, even twenty-five years later, the technology still doesn't seem to be able to keep up with Lynch's vision. Putting aside some distractingly bad visual effects, though, those moments of surreal were totally awesome. There's a whole lot offered up here that we haven't even seen from David Lynch before, and that's really all I could ask for.
Also, I love how the club/live music has been updated to fit the times. Awesome note to end the episode on.
I'm still not sure if I'll stay up to watch parts three and four tonight, but I think I might have to.

Okay, just finished watching parts three and four (and am almost too tired to function because of it): Now this is more like it. Big improvement over the first two parts. The first half of part three was totally off-the-walls, batshit crazy stuff. I think that set a new bar for bizarreness, even by Lynch's standards. He's really, really outdone himself this time, and I enjoyed every minute of it. The second half of the third part and just about the entirety of the fourth part, on the other hand, were pretty freaking hilarious in a classic Twin Peaks way. (I mean, of course Andy would have to explain the concept of cell-phones to Lucy.) These episodes did a nice job of re-introducing a few other characters including Gordon, Bobby, Albert and Denise(!), and finally got around to introducing some of the newcomers such as Robert Forster, Naomi Watts, and Michael Cera, all of whom are great. MacLachlan is continuing to be a goddamn tour de force through these first four episodes, he's truly taken it to the next level. Lastly, the moment where Bobby came face-to-face with Laura's picture was pure gold.
I still think things might be moving a bit slowly, and these first four parts are sorely lacking a 'hook' that any beginning of a season needs. But it's certainly off to one hell of a start.

Watched all four parts. First part probably could've used a bit more Cooper but still hooked me with the brutal death scene in New York City But damn, I'm really digging this so far. Super weird. Great stuff with Log lady and the twin peaks sheriff's department. Loved the Cooper scenes too. It was great to see both the fucked up, dark stuff and the quirky stuff still present. I got high about midway through episode 2 onward so that may have helped, but seriously this was just a hell of an experience for me. I'm so glad that this show is back. Also, I was really hoping that Michael Cera would play Andy and Lucy's son and I couldn't be happier that the show delivered on that.
