Will be interesting to see a modern version, I have never seen the Tom Hiddleston BBC version but the Olivier and Branagh versions are very famous and of course they were sort of the Timothee Chalamet's of their day.
Um.

This could either be really good or a disaster depending on how they approach it.

Be interesting to see if he can do a convincing English accent.

Robert Pattinson, Ben Mendelsohn and Lily-Rose Depp have signed on.
Pattinson will play the French Dauphin, while Depp will play the French Princess Catherine. Mendelsohn will play Chalamet’s father, King Henry IV.

Here's what Edgerton had to say about this project about two years ago:
hmmm....

"I deeply regret starring in a play that was written by a man who had men play the roles of women. I will be donating my salary to those affected."

They kept this on the down-low. Rob is busy! Great cast! This should be an interesting project.

Not really digging the “not your daddy’s Henry IV” angle. I also misread the tag line as the pun “All Hal.”

So... that accent is like really good. He worked with the same vocal coach that Emma Stone had for The Favourite.

I was looking forward to a trailer as I think Chalamet is a very talented actor. And I wasn't dissapointed. I even liked Edgerton. too distracted by Pattinson's glorious hair to notice anything else

I didn't think Chalamet was that good in Beautiful Boy - though he had moments - but this is a genuine risk. Both previous Henry V films hold up great and both require Henry to have a strength and virility - Chalamet runs the risk of looking like a 14 year old waif that just got out of the shower.........but he also simultaneously looks like he might surprise and that for an (overrated?) guy who has been great exactly once on film (though consistently good) and has a BA Oscar nod and just starting out his career this seems pretty exciting. Normally with American actors you don't have any such things to even talk about ever.....here is a young American actor essaying a role played by arguably the GOAT actor ever (Olivier) and arguably the great Shakespearean of his era on stage/film (Branagh).....I admire your gumption youngin'
