Most will be successful, but it wouldn't surprise if there were a few duds. I'm shaking on Solo for example. I am curious what Bettany means by gangster picture. Most likely in the veins of The Godfather. Solo has gotten involved with gangsters before after all.

I wonder if J.J. Abrams being back on board to direct IX would be consider more or less of a good thing for the diehards?

Would any one also think that Jumanji could be catching up to TLJ soon? I personally wouldn't resort to that kind of drastic concerns over TLJ's performance. But who...knows?

I periodically pop in to the box office forum to make variations of this comment over and over again, but if 800 mil. worldwide in two weeks is disappointing that means we're spending way too much on movie budgets these days.
I never expected this to top the BO of TFA since that had all the hype behind it with being the first SW movie for many years and the first with the original cast since 83. With Disney churning out a SW movie every year now there'll probably never be one that hyped again.

I don't think it's disappointing in the same way that Justice League was, in that they spent such an absurd amount of money to make it that nothing but stratospheric success would put the studio in the black. It's more disappointing in the sense that audiences aren't responding to it as well as they did to the previous installment, which explains the second weekend drop. Disney will make/has already made rivers of money off of this thing, but they probably expected a smaller drop in the profits than what they'll end up seeing.
