I consistently thought Moore was going to win because if you voted for Trump why would you care about anything Moore's said/done? Glad to be wrong.

Even though it’s Alabama and Doug Jones isn’t the greatest candidate, the race being as close as it was is quite scary. I have no clue how so much people went out and voted for Roy Moore. A win is a win though, and I’m happy about the results. Also, this is one of the dumbest tweets I’ve ever seen.

Fucking Nick Saban got over 20K write-in votes, good for 1.7% of the vote... that made the difference.
And the Dems seem to have found their blueprint for 2018. Expect at least half the Republicans running for Senate next year to be accused of sexual assault.

You've got to stop reducing sexual abuse to a Reps vs. Dems issue, because it very clearly isn't. It's all over every industry and in both sides of the political aisle. Take off your Alex Jones goggles and stop turning this into partisan rope pulling.

I was really happy when I just read the headlines everywhere, but when I looked closer at the results I was a bit shocked. A win by such a small margin over somebody who is accused of raping a minor (and wants the US to go back to the 19th century) isn't exactly a triumphal victory for humanity. But still it's a step into the right direction, when you take into account that Jones wasn't the favorite to win this election not so long ago.

YouTube doesn't have the sketch up there now, but yes this reminds me of the "Mr. Belvedere Fan Club" sketch on SNL where the members vote to kill Mr. Belvedere or not. The vote turns out to be incredibly close, so last night I was like Tom Hanks all night in that sketch, "but the votes shouldn't have been that close". Thank goodness Doug Jones won though.

A democrat has not won the state since 1992, think about that. Minorities came through last night. The GOP is absolutely fucked in 2018 too.

It took a man who said homosexuals should be jailed just for being homosexual, saying 9/11 happened because Americans turned away from God, drive by shootings happen because of the belief in evolution, and that getting rid of amendments such as allowing women to vote and abolishing slavery would be okay, etc to lose. And the scary thing is that he still would’ve won with all of those beliefs, yet it was the pedophila allegations that ended up making him lose (rightfully so, but that was just one of many of the issues he has). The fact that Jones only won by like 1% is worrisome. I also think it goes to shows how weak corporate democrats are. I hope last night didn’t give democrats the belief that they can run whoever they want and win in 2018. That’s not the case with corporate democrats. Run someone on the populist left that actually has a vision, and you’d see a wider margin. I’m happy by the outcome, but I’m not ecstatic.

We are in trouble as a nation if we are more worried about which color ( blue, red) wins rather than if we vote in a child molester who prays for the glory days when people owned slaves.

Perez is focusing on NO ADS ALL GOTV type strategy, and they have huge recruits in states like Texas and North Carolina already. They're prepared for 2018, and it's hopefully gonna pay off big, it already did in VA, GA, & Alabama. A blue tsunami is building.

That one's actually a bit surprising for once, coming from Alabama. Man, come on. This is a fucking child molester. You've got to stop reducing sexual abuse to a Reps vs. Dems issue, because it very clearly isn't. It's all over every industry and in both sides of the political aisle. Roy Moore is a fool. I saw him up there after he lost saying "It's not over! Wait on God!" Guess God doesn't like you either, Roy.
