Looks kinda cool, but I didn’t realize they were gonna do that fucking weird Final Fantasy CGI on Rosa Salazar like that. Those eyes are horrifying.

What... what is that. The face is terrifying. And the action looks weightless and terrible. And bland boyfriend already annoys me.
All of that said, I like the way the trailer is put together, emphasizing a quiet, more thoughtful sort of action movie. I know nothing about the character (I assume it's based on a comic or something?), but if it weren't for all of the technical aspects looking awful, this would interest me A LOT.

I will probably watch this, even though I didn't imagine her to look this way

This is in my top 10 most anticipated films of next year and I gotta say , the trailer was a tad bit underwhelming (maybe I was expecting more money shots hmm). And lol at those eyes (they look like a snapchat filter :gone mad:) however I will still give this film a shot. Can't write off a film entirely after only a little teaser of course.
the cast is fucking great btw

I had a whole lot of snarky remarks for this trailer, but I couldn’t decide which one I liked best. So I decided to use all of them.

Okay trailer, but Atila's attempted anime eyes freaked me out. Like something out of a rejected animated film. Also this has a 200 million budget? This will be lucky to break even.

Seeing “Academy Award Winner Mahershala Ali” was nice, but I’m guessing he’s only gonna be in the movie for like 10 minutes.
And yeah, the eyes are really distracting.

I'm expecting the CGI to look better later. This looks interesting, unique in a sense

What's with the anime eyes? They stand out, and not in a good way.
Otherwise, looks intriguing I guess.

Bombs away I'd say.

I feel this could have potential to turn out decent. Yes, I found the bulgy anime eyes on Alita weirdly distracting. I get what they are trying to go for there in terms of faithfulness, but still...Unless that was not finalized? Some of the action scenes from the character also felt a bit bland. But otherwise the concept presented here, Rodriguez, Cameron, the three Academy Award Winners (including Mahershala Ali) have already showcase some interesting potentials. lol yeah this will most certainly be lucky to break even (with a 200 million dollar budget) seems like a HUGE gamble (even with Cameron producing) And Cameron's only being a producer doesn't really help the film either. Looks OK. Some of the effects look great, others look cartoonish. I'm curious to see this because I wonder than Rodriguez can do with a 200 mil budget instead of making a movie in his backyard. And Cameron is the man so there's that. Gotta say, I like how the eyes look. It's a strange vibe but in a good way.

They could've just cast Emma Stone and saved themselves a lot of money by not having to CGI the eyes.

Probably won't help the film regardless. I'm just surprise that Fox decided to reveal the budget this soon before most other July releases. With that $200 million budget, I also sense this film's international performance would probably become its stronger option in the end at most too, a la GITS. It also may depend heavily on its competition with the likes of Ant-Man and the Wasp, The Purge: The Island, Mission: Impossible 6, and I supposed Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. Which is a wild card in its situation.

Could do well in China though.

At least it doesn't look cheap and made in 5 days like his other movies.

blah this looks pretty lousy imo . I also have a feeling Aquabro & Bumblebee are going to destroy this film at the box office.
