Screen Celebs Who Abuse Women or Children.
Journalist Beth Winegarner writes:
When I published this post almost two weeks ago, I thought it would serve as a mental list of celebrity/Hollywood men to avoid — a kind of ethical shopping guide, if you will. I had no idea so many people would read and share it. It has been boosted by people like Geena Davis and Wil Wheaton, and who knows how many others. I’m happy it has received so much attention. When I find out a screen celebrity — either someone who’s on screen or behind the scenes — has been accused of harming women, children, or basically anyone, I do my best to stop supporting them. I don’t see their movies. I don’t buy anything that would put money in their pockets. I’ve had a running list in my head for a while now. In the wake of Weinstein, I think it’s time to make that list public.
You may or may not be surprised who is on that list.

The rainn wilson one seems a bit petty....
Yes, I'm all for exposing these creeps, but I can't say that I like this.
For instance, I've heard rumors about Jared Leto, but when I clicked on the link, it was all hearsay evidence from Tumblr and clickbait websites. I think the guy is a douche, but maybe he's a douche that didn't do what he's accused of. It reminds me of the blind item that was allegedly about Gretchen Mol until she came out and denounced it just a short time ago and said that she was hurt by how many people thought that it was about her. (Yes, I'm guilty of believing rumors, but I'm just some nobody on the Internet unlike this writer who has written for some pretty respectable national publications like Mother Jones.)
Or hypocritically, I don't even know why I clicked on Sasha Mitchell's IMDb page back when there were boards there or when I did, but I looked at the archived message boards, and it sheds some light into his domestic abuse arrests. (That is if it's true of course.) If it is true though that he was protecting his kids from his then wife at the time who was on drugs, and that he got full custody of them while she has supervised visitation, then I don't think he should be lumped in with the other people. I tried finding more information, but not much pops up about him. Anyone remember Sasha Mitchell aka Cody from Step by Step
I don't have the energy to click on every link that the author provides or to refute every claim on her list, but just off the top of my head I've read that the accusations against Michael Fassbender, Bill Murray, and Gary Oldman were all from bitter exes who couldn't prove their claims in court. I do try to believe the accuser, but I believe that they were all going through nasty breakups with the women who made these accusations, and I haven't heard of any other claims. Of course, knowing Hollywood or basically just how humans are, I wouldn't be surprised to wake up tomorrow and reading about many more women coming forward about these three men, but for now I'm not sure what to think. I don't want to blame the victim if indeed these men are guilty of what they were accused of, but if these accusations are untrue then not only does it hurt the men who are accused, but it also damages other victims' claims and is obviously
Okay not the most credible source to prove that Gary Oldman is innocent, but Radar isn't either to prove that he's guilty.
People Magazine about Murray's divorce being finalized. - This doesn't say either way, and obviously it's possible that he bought her off to drop the claims against him, but just one month later after making the accusations against Murray, Murray and his then wife were able to reach an agreement to end their marriage.
Likewise I know before Christian Slater got help, he was a very troubled young person that was getting in trouble all the time, not that it excuses his behavior of course, but I don't know if I would lump him in with other guys who seem to be serial predators and are probably unlikely to ever stop their behavior. I think that Eric Roberts is reformed now as well too.
Finally, I agree with you about the rape jokes thing. Yes, they're tasteless, but this would be like a million times longer I bet if she put everyone male celebrities' name down that made rape joke. Plus, I feel it trivializes the whole list lumping in someone telling rape jokes with someone like Harvey Weinstein or Roman Polanski.
