From her Facebook page:
She hasn't identified him by name, but it's fairly obvious that this occurred on the set of Dancer in the Dark.
I know Lars gets free passes for being an "eccentric", but this is inexcusable behavior no matter how you slice it.

I'd believe this as I recall hearing / reading a fair amount about the miserable experience she had making this film, and this would only further explain why.
Also, if true, it would just confirm even more than people would have already suspected; that Lars Von Trier is a monumental wanker.

This is why Helena Bonham Carter passed on 'Breaking the Waves.' She was really freaked out by him.
That being said, Catherine Deneuve was/is definitely on von Trier's side, recalling that Björk's behavior onset was erratic and highly unprofessional. Of course, this could have been in response to his abuse. Not sure. Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Nicole Kidman, Uma Thurman, and Emily Watson don't seem very perturbed or bitter about their experiences with him, either. I'm wondering if because Björk was so inexperienced in acting (unlike the other women), he thought he could get away with it?

I am not surprised.
With all that hatred spread between those two during production….

I guess in the light of the recent Weinstein incident, Bjork is now inspired to share her own similar experience working with a director.

@tyler, I heard Lars von Trier and Nicole Kidman had a rocky working relationship too. I don't know if she's said positive things since. Kidman tends to be diplomatic. And I didn't hear anything about sexual harassment now, but I heard it got to the point where they ended up having a screaming match in the woods.
There were all sorts of crazy stories about Lars and Bjork's horrible working relationship though. They all seemed to paint both of them as difficult. One thing about Bjork though, she strikes me as a tough cookie who would stand up for herself. It is true that when women do that on film sets, they get painted as difficult.
Bjork also said that she never made a film again because of the way she saw that actresses get treated. The last week has got me wondering has any actress NOT experienced sexual harassment or assault? Reese Witherspoon just said she was sexually assaulted at 16. It's crazy how common this is. A lot of women, in general, have experienced it (I've experienced harassment myself), but it seems actresses are expected to just take it and be silent about it.

PromNightCarrie - Kidman was going to work with him again on 'Nymphomaniac' before Thurman replaced her due to scheduling conflicts. She acknowledges that von Trier can be mean, though.

As I said in another thread, a woman's looks don't matter much. Some men just want to show their power, they aren't necessarily attracted to the girl they are molesting.

Yeah, I can't help but feel that Bjork is responsible for at least some of the friction that occurred on set. Not that any behavior on her part would ever justify sexual harassment, but just on the level of Lars and her not getting along and having arguments over whatever, she probaly did her part. Remember the time she went apeshit on that reporter at the airport? I know she was stressed out and alleges that the TV crew were following her and her son around, but that's still kind of a scary reaction on her part.

Welcome to Bangkok. *proceeds to beat reporter lady's ass* That's when I knew Bjork was more than just an eccentric little pixie creature. She might be a little off her rocker! But I've also heard that you don't want to piss off a Nordic woman! And in her defense, I believe she did say that that reporter lady at one point earlier had put her microphone in her son's face and began interviewing him after Bjork refused to speak to her. If that's true, that's completely crossing the line. But back to Lars, he said that every day on set Bjork would come to him and tell him that she despised him before spitting at him. I don't know if he just made that up, but if he harassed her, perhaps she had good reason to be like that.

Believe this immediately. Von Trier also striked me as being capable of something like this. And this has nothing to do with the fact that I think he is a lousy director.

Seriously?
The casting couch is as old as cinema, even Charlie Chaplin had one.
We are talking about an industry where good looks & sex appeal are the highest currency and those who know how to make it work for them are the ones who normally get to the top. Do you have any idea how competitive it is and how hard it is to keep working? You might as well start by asking how many actresses have careers who have never done nudity of some sort? Very few.

Terrible if this also turns out to be true, I think Trier is a great director (although I have always been put off my his "real life" persona).

That reminds me of the moment on the Graham Norton show when Jaime Bell, Kate Winslet, and a comedian (awks i really don't know his name) were on the couch and Bell was talking about how Von Trier walked around with his dick out on set and the comedian said 'oh sure, when Von Trier does it he's genius... but i have an uncle who does it and he's a [] in the community" (i don't recall the exact line). It was a joke but it's definitely a valid point.
