I'm soo excited for the last season now. Why did they have to spoil it so much though in the trailer? Can't wait to see Ruthie going all berserk and of course my girl Wendy making all sorts of questionable choices 😂 I love all the actors of this show so much.

Looks great. Really liked the first part of the fourth season, and I expect the second part to turn it up a notch. Felt like we got to see a lot in that trailer though. Nice that it premiers so soon.

The last part premiers tomorrow and I am soo excited. Really hoping they have a Laura Linney heavy episode (like Euphoria ep 5) so she can beat Zendaya (highly unlikely ik) because honestly I am still pissed at her losing for season 3, the car scene alone should have made her a sure shot. Excited to see how they decide to end it, as per reviews, it's gonna divide people. So let's see. Long live Wendy Byrde though. Not since Vera Farmiga in Bates Motel has a character been so fucking batshit crazy and I love it.

Oh and that actress who played the greedy, little therapist? LOL. I knew she was toast but she was fun to watch. Best scene in the entire show. My favorite character.

I'm going to space the last episodes out but Season 4, episode 8 was a totally triumphant episode - one of the very best ever for this show: The GOAT rap album - it is, just admit it - woven seamlessly and wittily into the plot, and the plot - FINALLY! - not overtly spelled out for you and several "unsaid saids" which was awesome and subtle actually for once........not too inmprobable (always a problem with this show) ........several memorable quotes - I liked "You said you were going home" ........"No, you TOLD me to go home, there's a difference".......a beautifully acted, heartbreaking, truth telling monologue at the end - just like Illmatic actually ........ and THE single greatest profanity combination from Ruth so far - which is really saying something............I mean I've heard that expression and I've heard her say all kinds of great things but I never expected that expression to be used in that scene about Marty cunt-struck ......

Finished it at one go. Wow. Now I would be lying if I say that the quality didn't dip after the pure greatness that was episode 8 (seriously THIS should be Julia Garner's episode submission. So masterful here.) but I definitely enjoyed the season in entirety. Logic was never the show's strongest trait and they really upped the bizarreness of the show even till the end. Once again, Laura Linney was the boss bitch making a character as complex as Wendy so fucking crazy, terrifying, wild, and yet sympathetic on some levels. Bateman's Marty (he's got some funniest scenes with Wendy in this part) was on full simp mode this time, haha. I know people are really pissed at the ending but the more I think of it, the more I like it. It's definitely a ballsy one and not really the best ending they could have gone with but I like the direction they went even if slightly rushed and far from perfect.
Off topic slightly, I see so many general public absolutely hate Wendy's character and they say she's worse than Skyler White?! Now Wendy I get, she really went full unhinged this time and made such rash decisions and is low key the villain of the season but what's the deal with all the Skyler bashing? I never understood the hate for her.
Anyway, I'm going to miss the show, the Byrdes and Ruthie ðŸ˜

I enjoyed the last half of the season well enough, but I didn't think it quite stuck the landing. It does the suspense bit really well, but I think a few things that happen and how some characters act are a bit hard to suspend the disbelief for. Still relatively satisfied and I have really enjoyed the show overall. The acting is aces though.

Most audacious final scene of a series since The Sopranos? Maybe tbh. I was ready to smash my TV when the doofus PI appeared in the backyard to fuck everything up, but the result of that scene was perfection. Part of me was actually imagining Jonah showing up with a shotgun… but I thought there was no way in hell it’d actually happen… lmao. I grinned like a madman. Ruth dying after they set up such a wonderful happy ending for her was truly devastating, though her death made sense. The Byrdes get away scot-free, and literally everyone else is collateral damage. She had a damn good run. Final 6 episodes were definitely a bit rushed and running around in circles (and LMAO at Marty playing Cartel boss)… but they nailed the final episode and conclusion. I’ll miss this ridiculous show.

Ozark is among my top 10 TV shows of all-time. I'll echo the same thoughts. I've seen some hate on the ending but it's always tough to land a finale. I thought it made perfect sense in terms of the characters and the story. A fitting end. Garner and Linney should win Emmys. I loved Ruth but her ending made sense. She made her choice in episode 8. She was always a cursed Langmore. The scene with all of the Langmores was a beautiful touch. It felt like the writing was on the wall.
The last scene was perfect. The Byrdes are all in - together.
This is a good article.

Not a strong ending but definitely bold. One that i was not expecting especially the last shot but i can see why they went that way. The Langmore's of the world won't survive but the Bryde's persevere. I guess that's what the show want to portray. Fine with me. Doesn't really bother me coz I was never totally into veins of the show but it was engrossing and i like some characters and performances. It's a good show. If one can suspend their disbelief for an hour it gives you a good watch. Laura Linney and Julia Garner are the MVPs of this season. Bateman took back seat but i still like his performance and his character is low key one of my favorite TV characters in the last decade.

I binged this entire show over the holidays, and I enjoyed it. It’s definitely not a GOAT, but I was entertained (and bored at times)
What elevated the material is the acting. In seasons 1-2, it was Jason Bateman. He was damn good in season 1 finale. In seasons 3-4, it was hands down Laura Linney while Bateman’s usual schtick got old/irritating. I love what Linney did with Wendy and how she played it. Wendy was repulsive, awful, hilarious, and very sympathetic. The last 3 episodes of season 4 and last two episodes of season 3, Linney killed it. And I’m DISGUSTED she lost both Emmys for both those seasons to a mid performance from an insanely overrated mid actor like Zendaya on a mid faux prestige show. It’s actually insane how a skilled and master actress like Laura fucking Linney lost to someone who still does her shitty Disney channel acting when she isn’t having a baity breakdown scene especially written for her. What a travesty. What a joke
I really liked the series finale. I thought the ending was great, and it was in line with what the show depicted about how there’s different rules for the rich and powerful vs. the working class. I don’t know why people are disappointed. As the show’s creators pointed out, look at the world we live in. The rich get away with all sorts of heinous shit.
I like that the show knew when it was time to quit bc some of the storylines were getting repetitive and boring so kudos to them for hanging it up at the right time.
