They're both... just awful. Obama seems like a cooler guy in person, so I'll give him the edge.

Not overly fond of either. I think people are making Trudeau to be this 'amazing leader' just because Trump is THAT horrible. While saying that, a lot of the hate Trudeau gets (especially here in Alberta), is over the top.

Obama, I guess because he's probably more moderate. The (presumably conservative) people saying Trudeau because nothing can supposedly be worse than Obama don't realize that most left parties worldwide are substantially to the left of the Democrats. Trump just makes everyone look statesmanlike.

To be fair, I think Obama is further left than most of the DNC. He's probably moderately left in terms of economics, while most democrats fall centrist-range, or a bit to the right.

It's hard to say sometimes because there's a difference between a person's ambitions and then actual policy. Political realities provide a constraint. Either way, he's still to the right of Trudeau/Canada's Liberal Party.

Obama, but they're both class-acts Yeah. Trudeau is still a bit early to tell though, but I heard of some decent things he has done. I also found it a bit funny how they’re both predecessors to Harper and Bush respectably. At least according to some of my Canadian friends from Ontario, Harper was ‘Canada’s George Bush’ in some ways. Now there’s a bit of comparisons between Obama and Trudeau. I mean, if history is kinda of repeating itself regarding the parallel between US's and Canada’s leaderships.... then I hate to find out who would be Canada’s equivalent to Trump.

I nominate Chad Kroeger
