Damn. If Leo's involved, then this is definitely getting made... I was hoping the backlash from the Weinstein scandal and the terrible subject matter of the script would be enough to make him reconsider, at least.

DiCaprio? Not quite optimistic about that. I hope he has at least a role in that film that makes sense because he is fucking awesome

I'd be fully on board if Leo is cast in this . But look at the guy in my avatar. He'd be PERFECT!

Al Pacino should've worked with Tarantino by now. QT said this last year : "I’d love to work with Al Pacino now, I just saw him in the new Mamet play [‘China Doll‘] and he was terrific. I might even want to work with him now more, even more than his ‘Serpico‘ days. I would love to have Al Pacino rip snorting through my dialogue." And they've got together a couple times since.

Any word on what Brad Pitt's role would be? Without knowing much about the events, I'm guessing lawyer or cop.

Nobody who plays Tate is probably going to accurately 100% mimic her voice anyway.

Quentin needs to be extremely careful with this. He's probably the unlikeliest director imaginable for such a subject matter that sounds tailor-made for someone like Fincher.

Tarantino already said that saying this is a Charles Manson movie is like saying Inglourious Basterds is a Hitler movie.

Plot details Set in Los Angeles in the summer of 1969, Tarantino’s upcoming movie, according to a source who read the script, focuses on a male TV actor who’s had one hit series and his looking for a way to get into the film business. His sidekick—who’s also his stunt double—is looking for the same thing. The horrific murder of Sharon Tate and four of her friends by Charles Manson’s cult of followers serves as a backdrop to the main story.
Production begins this June for a 2019 release.

Didn't expect this plot, but it's awesome. Is this going to be some sort of noir kinda like L.A Confidential or something, with the murder of Sharon Tate as a backdrop?

I don't actually think this new plot update sounds particularly interesting, but Tarantino has hit the nail on the head for me every time except once, so I still expect I'll enjoy.
