Feud 1x02 - Good, entertaining, kind of goes surface level instead of depth. Big Little Lies: Episode 4 - Good but easily my least favorite so far. Don't like that they're now straying from the book and losing the energy it (and the previous episodes) had.

Big Little Lies - Episode 4. Solid as always, but it lacked the energy and gripping revelations of the first three episodes. Still, I liked the development of Celeste, and the show definitely has an addictive quality that makes me wish it was next week already.
Broadchurch Series 3 - Episode 3. This show is such a weird mix of pure trash and darkly fascinating themes. There's so much that feels hopelessly contrived and overdone, but then I'm stunned by some phenomenal acting or engaging story development. The definition of a mixed bag.

Series finale of Workaholics. Really surprised I kept with it this whole time, but the first three ish seasons will always be fun TV. Finale was pretty meta and semi tight butthole. Loved the after credits scene.
Noice!

First three episodes of The Americans' third season. This show always seems to take the time at the beginning of the season to sink its teeth in before it can really bite. Still, though, even its set-up is pretty riveting television.

American Crime S3 - Episode 1.
Really good first episode that suggests this will be even better than the second season.

Right now, I'm trying to watch all of Poirot before Netflix gets rid of the series. They got rid of the first 6 seasons and I in the middle of it. Ughhh. After that, I think I going to binge the first two seasons of Better Call Saul before the S3 premiere. I was going to wait until it finished but now that you know who is going to be on there, I decided to watch it now.

The Americans 3x10 "Stingers" -- A big moment that I've been waiting for for about two seasons now, and it was executed to perfection. That final scene was outstanding.

Big Little Lies - Episode 5.
Might have been the best episode so far. Goddamn, Nicole Kidman was fucking phenomenal in those therapy scenes (she's killing it in every scene, really). The writing was also much more consistent across the episode than it had been in previous episodes. I think they're handling the abuse story with Celeste brilliantly. Every time the show cuts to Kidman and Skarsgard, I instantly tense up, and that's a mark of how well written, directed and acted this storyline is, with much more complexity and nuance than I thought this show was capable of before.

Completely agreed. Kidman was phenomenal in the latest episode which I think is the best one so far. So looking forward to the next ones.

American Crime Season 3 - Episode 2.
Why aren't more people watching this show? It's fucking fantastic, and easily the best thing on Network TV right now, but it'll probably get cancelled soon because its ratings are awful. What a shame. Anyway, Benito Martinez (who I never thought was particularly great on The Shield) is absolutely killing it here, and is the MVP of the season so far.
The Americans Season 5 - Episode 3.
The season is definitely continuing the slow-burn approach of seasons past, but that's always been this show's style, and it works when the writing, acting and directing is this strong. Those final few minutes were tense and disturbing in that perfectly Americans way.

LubezkiI'm really enjoying it. It's funny, smart and touching at times. I feel like some of it is lost on me because I'm a white kid from Australia but all in all its still a very good show. Plus, Darius is like the greatest.

Big Littles Lies Episode 5 -- Mostly solid as per usual, with a strong emphasis on mostly (the dialogue between Madeline and theater dude ). There was some really weird editing in these episodes, where entire scenes were chopped into frenetic tidbits more suited for a trailer. I found that really bizarre. Otherwise, it was enjoyable. This is definitely the peak of the Celeste storyline, and Kidman's most powerful work yet. Feud Episode 3 -- No unnecessary narration and framing device = Easily the best episode yet. By focusing on maternal themes, this episode had a lot to sink its teeth into and did a fantastic job of connecting the subject to both characters. Though one problem I still can't shake is that I find it pretty grating how the actors talk about Oscar like MA buzzers do. Maybe I think too highly of Hollywood, but I find that really unrealistic. The Americans 3x12 - 4x03 -- Fuuuuuck this show is so good.

Masters of Horror- "We All Scream for Ice Cream"
One of the weaker episodes of the show. A cliched and tired riff on Stephen King's IT, featuring bland characters, cheesy dialogue, and bad child performances. William Forsythe does good work though as the main villain, a mentally challenged clown-turned-vengeful-spirit.
